Is this a new distributor Starres?

With its new partners in place I feel it’s only a matter of time now until this really gets under way. Don’t want to sound like a rabid ramper but solar energy has to be one of the best and easiest solutions to the ongoing energy crisis and VDTK are perfectly placed to enjoy some significant success in the coming weeks/months.

Rookie72 - the DOD contract was talked about before it got over the line. The US DOD even included a figure of over $2m in its accounts destined for GDR but unfortunately It came to nothing.

Imv our best hope of a quick spike is for another variant of Covid to arrive this winter. Not what anyone wants of course but I think it’s the only way we’re going to see the sp get back to anything like 30p over the next 6 months.

It's the lies that have been told over the last couple of years that worry me. Budd was fine with leading investors up the garden path more than once with wildly exciting numbers and hints at revenue in the tens of millions of pounds, only for us to discover there was nothing. Nothing at all. That's dishonest and makes him in my book totally untrustworthy. Even if he says something positive now can people believe him?

I don't think there will be any Covid PoC sales. Just my opinion. The AIHL roll out in the NHS is going to take years, not months or weeks even though we were led to believe it would be weeks within which we would be given an update and there would be news on this front. Again, lies from the CEO, unless I've missed something...

Feeling very sore about this one as I have 650k shares and, whilst I have got my average down, I'm still horribly in the red. Now not sure we will ever see Budd do the necessary so I'm contemplating selling up as there are opportunities elsewhere with more reliable and professional communications from the CEO and BODs. This one is proving to be a terribly amateur set up that is great on R&D but terrible in every other department

…with share holders. This has become obvious over the last two or three years. He remains silent for months on end leaving share holders in the dark as to the company’s progress and when he does say something it’s now not trusted because of the lies he’s told previously eg Eastern European country offering a contract worth £10s of millions, US military contract etc etc. nothing comes to fruition or was never real. We’ll never know. Either way I think the writing is on the wall here and the sp will sadly decline further until we hit the dreaded low of last year: 12p. Something simply doesn’t add up here. Budd either doesn’t understand how to appeal to investors or he’s deliberately staying silent to undermine confidence. Why on Earth would he do either? The lower the sp falls the worse his position for a fund raise Starres and the later he leaves it the weaker the offer will be from the market unless he’s got something up his sleeve - and in which case he should inform share holders. It’s all going to pot imo and I can, as I said a while ago, see the ongoing silence and lack of positive sales news (this is what is riding the sp, not negative/realistic posts on a bb!) resulting in us hitting that 12p low. Getting a cash raise at that level would be catastrophic and likely take us well into single digits. I’m starting to think I’ll never get my money back here now.

Budd must go. But how?

Starres: sorry to disagree as I think your an extremely reasonable poster with lots of balanced things to say. GDR do have some money left in the pot- £4m odd now? - but that doesn’t mean Budd can run the reserves down to the last minute or else the market will have him over a barrel and put an even lower marker down for a cash raise. Budd has to present a strong case for the raise or else he’s buggered. And us along with him. He’s not making any case atm . He’s just staying silent. Every time he’s done that before the sp has dropped off a cliff.

Just this once: the big question is at what price will the market dealers give Budd a cash raise. Currently the sp struggling to maintain the 17 - 20p range. Broken below it just today in fact. The charts look too a down trend now so imo we’re heading for 15p or less. From there a fund raise would likely be at another discount - as it was last time - off 40%. That means we could be looking at a cash raise at 10.5p. Once done the sp, without anything positive on sales, will only drift further. It’s grim and a I promise everyone here that it’s the last thing I want to see but it is a possibility. System: it’s a possibility we could get an RNS tomorrow that makes the sp hit 60p. All the evidence regrettably points to the former scenario playing out. It’s just my opinion but I’ve been here for years and have seen how ineffective David Budd is with sales.

If there were any decent sales figures to throw out then we’d know about them by now. There CANNOT be any reason Budd would deliberately want to keep the sp depressed at these levels so imo the sales just haven’t worked and GDR are heading for trouble. It’s just what a big pharma would be licking their lips over. Budd is playing into their hands. Deliberately so or not who can say?

With AIHL in the off’ing I fail to understand why the sp can’t even hold at the current range. It’s really worrying now as things might just be worse than any of us thought

Actually POW has good news so it’s doing wonderfully well thanks! Very pleased that finally they had some proper news!

It’s just my opinion but I believe most of the professional investors not realise that sales are almost non existent and the sp is not only going to fall further but that Budd will have to do a raise from a lower point and, if he gets the raise from the market, it will be at a discount of something similar to last time eg 40%. If we’re at 15p then it will slump to roughly 10p or less. Just an opinion but to me it’s far more believable than Budd holding back all that great news on sales because he wants to give us all the good news in one go.

Face - hilarious. Guesswork from those predicting a drop off another 2 or 3p is to be derided but you don’t say anything about those predicting a rise of 40 or 80p or even more.
I, like others now sceptical of Budd’s abilities, are still here I suspect because we believe the GDR products to be excellent with little or no competition, and given half a chance - basically a different CEO who has the first clue about commercialisation of products in this arena - the sp could be an awful lot higher than it is. Budd has overseen a drop off 60% in the share price this year. 60%!! Worth every penny of his £300k pa salary.

After all the failures and falsehoods from Budd and missed deadlines over several years, there is of course every chance he can now do everything we all dream of…. And then I wake up to the reality of just how good he i really is.

How can the removal of this dreadful CEO be added to the agenda for the AGM? Is this Something share holders have to initiate? Obviously Budd isn’t going to put forward such a proposal…more’s the pity!

If there was the faintest whiff of good news on sales I think it would have been RNSd as Budd must be desperate to get the sp higher in readiness for the next fund raise, so my personal assumption is that there simply aren’t any. Budd don’t give a sh.t about ordinary share holders. Something doesn’t add up and the worse the situation gets the more I fall back on the notion Budd himself is setting up GDR for a takeover on the cheap but with the guarantee he will keep his position - and his salary!

What many don’t seem to understand here is that GDR is not undervalued currently but quite the opposite. With no revenue or income being generated we are lucky to hover at 18p and that is mostly based on hopes for news much further down the line! If we can just manage to stay at 17 - 18p whilst earning next to nothing then that’s really not bad. Idiots who predict 60p to £1 with no news - username posted last week a breakout was realistic even without news - are on cloud cuckoo land. This will come good hopefully but not for months, possibly even years imo.

I’ve often thought the same Greg22 but a large injection of cash doesn’t guarantee people will buy the products. They’re good products but surely if they were that good everyone would already be buying them regardless. A marketing budget might help but something just isn’t working for GDR atm imo. If I was looking to buy something like GDR I’d want to be 100% certain its products would sell. Thus far there is no evidence of that but of course this could change in a heart beat if only Budd would update the market - and his own flipping share holders - that sales are progressing. Instead we get another RNS suggesting the wait for NHS uptake of GDR products is at least a year to eighteen months down the line. That can only mean one thing: a cash raise to keep things moving forward. Again, if I was a buyer looking at GDR I’d wait until it’s done a fund raise (which looks inevitable imo) and the sp has taken another hit and then strike.

Greg22 could well be right but unfortunately GDR is easy meat for the big pharma predators. I would be very happy if GDR was bought out though for something like 50 - 60p. Then I could get out with a modest profit after jumping on board two years ago.

Anyway, all in all we have an RNS and it’s pretty good news so most likely the wait just goes on for a proper recovery in the sp but it’s better than nothing.

Agree Starres. The market won’t just endlessly offer deals to GDR for finding if it’s not showing any signs of progress with sales. Nor will pis keep buying shares just because they get cheaper. A rubbish track record in commercialisation it’s just that, rubbish. We can’t know for sure but with such a lengthy period of silence it doesn’t bode well to me. Budd isn’t learning from past mistakes and he’s obviously appointed some dubious sales people who thus far have put out a few tweeets. Some of those GDR employees may well find themselves out of a job before long if Budd doesn’t improve the performance of the sales team sharpish…

It’sNOT a negative message to the market to rid itself of a failing CEO! The market could well see a good replacement as the nudge it needs to get on board. 200p? No way with DB at the helm imo

3 years of ‘we’re excited about the potential…’ and ‘sales have proved challenging in these times…’.

I just don’t understand why the really major share holders aren’t making moves to have Budd removed as he’s clearly out of his depth in the area of commercialisation. Products are good, and I know these things take time, but GDR have sold almost nothing in the last 3yrs and are loss making year on year. It’s only repeated cash raises that are keeping the lights on and that means you and me folks. Dilution Street dilution and an ever waning confidence that Budd can ever deliver the necessary for GDR. When news does finally arrive - I’m now thinking Oct/Nov - it had better either be very good or accompanied with news of Budd stepping down.
