We’re now at the start of Sept and not a dickie bird on any sales. Another extended period of silence seems to be in line with the modus operandi of many other AIM companies… ie just typical. Rob Richards needs to deliver some tangible results before too much longer or this will head into reverse. Gavin Mayhew won’t be pleased to see his huge investment here diminishing over the time that progress was expected.

My question really isn’t that unreasonable.

How much does PJ have left I wonder? If pow cdnt afford to pay for the drill programme at Molopo and had to dilute share holders by offering them shares, albeit at quite a premium to the prevailing sp, does that mean PJ will very shortly announce that with all this good news it means we’re going to have to dig deep in order to continue the splendid work and do this via a cash raise?

Meant to add…I’ve had my doubts about Budd’s intentions ever since he shut down the surge in the sp after the RNS telling us of the approval to sell in India. He’s not once been really upbeat about GDR’s potential from just before then so I’m guessing (of course) one of the big pharmas got their teeth into him just before that and they were the ones who paid for the placing at 25.5p knowing they could bide their time and make sure Budd got things moving with AIHL but didn’t actually deliver any good news and just watch the slump in the sp. Another placing at 8p and this is history for pis.

Lloyd: that’s pretty much what’s been at the back of my mind for a while now. If Budd can drive the sp low enough then someone offers him a nice bonus further down the line and he keeps his job but… I would not be surprised if that’s the play going on but I’d be horrified if the buy out price was £20m! That would equate to the sp being 22.5p. Unfortunately the pharmas are big sharks and must see the potential of GDR so it will all boil down to whether or not Budd has any morals or is happy to shaft ordinary pis.

If it did plummet to 8p then obviously it wouldn’t stay there for long as I think the game would be up and many would throw a few k in knowing a buyout was on the cards and they could quickly double their money. I’m with Garonne and would be delighted to get out for 40p. I’d still make a loss but wouldn’t have to suffer watching Budd fail to deliver week after week and month after month.

Come on Budd, get GDR sold but make it reasonable! A buyout for 40 - 50p and I’d bite your arm off. Actually, rip it off, slowly…..

No one gets any responses from the company regarding their investments. The NOMAD doesn’t give a sh.t either. CEO makes up stories of contracts likely to generate tens of millions of pounds, which all comes to nothing, asks for repeated fund raises, offers placing to outsiders (certainly not pis) at a 40% discount to prevailing sp and fails to update regularly on any progress on any front and then takes home his salary of £300k. The continued failure of this CEO needs to be rewarded with the big heave ho imo. The sooner the better. Don’t actually matter who comes in as I’m not sure anyone could do worse.

Appalling CEO. One of the worst on AIM and boy that’s saying something! I did say a while ago that without news this could see 15p . Well we’re here now and I’m not expecting news for another 3 to 4 weeks and not expecting it to be good so I’ll put my head on the block and predict 12p by end of Sept brute news. If it’s then bad news we’re going to single digits. Just an opinion.

I wonder if there is actually a greater chance of CYP2C19 ID Point of Care test being fast tracked by NICE than the AIHL test as it will be life-saving in many cases. Also, when considering the long term cost saving to the NHS not having stroke victims in critical conditions will prove a far greater saving than preventing permanent loss of hearing for new borns. Both tests are wonderful and are showing genomics is the new direction professional medical healthcare is going but actually I think this latest submission for NICE guidance warrants being fast tracked even more than AIHL. We can only hope the NICE sees things the same way and gets a good nudge from Budd...

It could all change in a heart beat, I accept that and hope for it every day but the little evidence provided by GDR comms hardly suggests things are going swimmingly. Well, in my opinion at least.

How low can the sp drop now is the big question and at what point do I attempt to lower my average further, or should i even bother. Is it throwing good money after bad? Usual AIM roulette.

Agreed Starres. That would provide the proverbial rocket and see the sp do almost 100% back up to 30p in my view as the market for AIHL abroad is far larger than just the UK.

I’m being pessimistic but my gut is telling me there’s nothing on the horizon in terms of news. Hopefully I’m wrong. Very wrong.

Starres: May is too late imo. If there are no results of sales by that stage and all Budd can say is ‘we’re positive about the future of …. But to date sales have proved more of a a challenge than we’d hoped…’ then a) the sp would be back in single digits by then, b) at what level would the market offer GDR another raise knowing if Budd continues to fail there is a very real possibility of the company going into administration and c) the money left in the coffers is going to disappear much faster than previously planned owing to such major hikes in energy costs.

Imv Budd will have to move either soon after another pump and dump or after he may announce it shortly after the next full update on sales. It’s a worst case scenario but if the sp declines further eg to 14 or 15p by the time he announces no Covid related sales and no news on further NHS uptake of AIHL then he may opt to get a raise agreed with the market at another 40%discount to prevailing sp ie 9 to 10p. Sounds horrendous but the truth is we’re only 6p off that level anyway. Budd I’d driving this company to the wall with his ongoing failures to commercialise products.

Best case scenario is he announces good sales numbers and more NHS Trusts have adopted AIHL and that a submission has been made to the US for AIHL with funds to spare and no further cash raise required. Sp climbs back up towards 30p.
