RE: LBC22 Nov 2024 10:29
System, GDR will absolutely 100% need to do another placing. There is no way for the company to continue it's spending path even with last year's raises, a tax R&D refund of £800k, yesterday's Grant of £500k and whatever they are making in current sales - this could be anything between £100k and £250k per year I think .
So, the big question is...will Gino and Russ wait for some really significant news to land and allow the sp to rise to decent levels before going cap in hand to the market for another handout or go for it now? One could argue it's better to do it now whilst the sp is above 2p and they raise perhaps at 1.5p as they did last time. Might mean less dilution for existing share holders. The alternative is to sit it out and hope some good news will come along, but if it doesn't then the sp will drift lower and the company cash position will worsen, weakening GDR's bargaining position for a placing. That could be a lot worse for holders.
I hope int his presentation they will for once give some idea of timings for full commission rom the NHS rather than the usual guff of 'our plan for commercialisation is going well'. I'd like to hear Gino say they hope FDA de novo process will be started in January 2025 for MT-RNR1 and that the NHSS decision on a national rollout will be taken soon too. The info from yesterday was confusing. Stating a 24 month data collection study was starting on Nov 1st 2024 implies a full roll out won't happen until two years later. Can they provide the required data sooner than that and whilst the study is ongoing who is paying for all the GDR tests and machines being used to perform the tests? Need some clarity on this imo
Gino and Russ now have holdings in the company, albeit fairly modest ones. Will they take the longer term view that if a placing is done at a much lower sp they can buy far more shares than they currently own? Would mean in the long term they make more money.... So would ordinary share holders IF they can stomach the incredibly long wait for GDR to finally gain global traction in sales.
