csdi, that sounds like an excellent way of doing it, better than swapping from one share to another, at least then you know your adding value to the shares you already own, and will be able to bring them back into profit earlier, i have been using the money from my sell off here to lower my averages with some of my other shares, you have to be very very lucky to find the bottom price of any shares, definitely not something i have been lucky with, hopefully in the next six months or so we will all finally get rewarded for it, just a difficult time for investing at the moment and with no idea when the shares will stop dropping and the tide will finally change, hope to get back in here at some time, but things can change very quickly sometimes then you find out you have missed out, so might have to accept that
best of luck all, and let's hope this will turn from a bear market to a bull market very soon

Robina, don't know when, but at some point, the bear market will hopefully turn into a bull market, so maybe reinvesting dividends when these prices are down will reward us eventually, let's hope so, has not been a good time for investors lately, unless your buying

Kentio, i sold up the day before exdiv mate, right or wrong decision only time will tell, as we just can't predict what's ahead of us right, now, but i will be looking to get back in here at a later time as i think there will be a good profit to be made here when things settle, and i wish you all the best of luck

csdi, maybe pay into another share for now until psn has finished dropping, what do you think?, I would like to get back in, but thinking maybe £15 or £16, with the talk of recession and interest rises , but of course i may be totally wrong as things can change very quickly, most of my shares are down right now, Vod holding up well, but for me personally, not high enough to sell and not low enough to buy so just holding on, but for those who got in low of course a good dividend return

Dan i would never insult moleman, it's always good to have an alternative view, no disrespect to Mikey, but i think we all agree some new one liners would be appreciated, difficult times for investors at the moment and more to come, I know most of my shares have gone south recently and i expect it's the same for most of us, but don't really need to be reminded that the sp is dropping all the time, and this one is holding up better than most right now

Or get something else and find you have lost an awful lot more, this will more than likely be back at £3 by next april, and you get good dividend payments

Twonko, i expect we will be on this rollercoaster for a while, and we can't predict what will happen next, so maybe adding in a few stages might be the best option

Hi Dan, yea that was just a jokey comment i made to you, buying and selling would never work for me, i would end up losing my shirt, need to keep it simple with dividend shares and just add more when you get these big reduction swings, will get my state pension end of this month, and will soon be transferring my works pension to my Sipp and Isa so will have a bit more to invest , some big hits today some down over 5%, not sure if Vodafone will be exempt from these drops, but seems to be holding up a lot stronger at the moment, will probably top up here at some point if the price comes to me, but would always prefer it to rise, so fingers crossed there
