One thing is for sure Dan, there is nothing we can do to change anything , as you said to me, grin and bear it or sell up, not expecting anything special from any of my share this year, but as long as the dividends keep coming, will pool them all together and try and put them to a good use

Well there's nothing like a CEO debate to rattle Dan's cage, but is he right possibly or possibly not, but after 20 years waiting for the sp to rise, i definitely think he deserves a gold medal for his Patience, investing should be fun guys, but some shares are more fun than others if you know what i mean, I thought about selling up here many times, but it just would be nice to see it pass the £1.50 mark first, I live in hope, quite happy to wait a bit longer, so come on nick pull your finger out lol

I don't know the answers Dan, but i can understand why those who have been invested here for 5 years or more, are understandably running out of patience with the Vodafone management, so i will have to leave it to someone with more knowledge of this industry than myself to answer those questions

HI Soton, your welcome if it's a bit of fun then very glad to do it, i just thought i would give you guys an option to stop the prediction game for a while, if you were all bored with it, but it looks like quite a few want to continue, so it's back on again
i sold aviva from my sipp before exdiv, as i wasn't happy with the consolidation bit, but retained it in my isa, bought back again recently at 387 for my sipp, so expecting an 8.5 div next year and a good possibility of some nice growth
not sure you will ever convince Dan about the vod management ? but he might be able to convince me if my capital is returned, think everyone will just have to form their own opinion on that one

Yes of course Dan, I'm not saying nick reed is doing a bad job, but also i don't have any reason to think he is doing a good job either, remember there is a possibility of 11 percent inflation ahead of us, so we will need the sp to rise for obvious reasons, but let's see what happens in the coming months and fingers crossed it will go in our favour

Dan, there is of course a possibility that the management have not been doing a very good job, you should also consider that possibility, there is high competition in all types of business, and the the success of any business is quite often down to good or bad management, it's not all black and white we know that, I expect you read that article Mikey posted the other day, but totally dismissed it?, there is a chance that their is some truth in it ? a return of my capital of course could completely change my opinion

Oaklodge I have an average of around 1.90, have not averaged down on this one at all, I truly want to believe some of the more optimistic posters on here, but also like to hear alternative views, such as that from mole-man, after 5 years of waiting for a return of my capital, well i will just stay as a neutral on this one for now, Mikey sometimes get's shot down for his views, but who knows, he could just be right

Oaklodge, thanks for the reply, 50 years is an awful lot of investing experience, and i expect you have learned a lot of lessons from good and bad investments over the years, I'm still paying the price from a couple of poor decisions i have made several years back, but still trying to learn more

Mole well done mate, that was a good tactic of yours to get everyone talking, a bit of biting and scratching but never mind, it livened it up a bit here, would be great to see this go up to 170 as some predict, but let's wait and see what happens
