Agreed. Every day that passes, the bigger I expect the announcement to be. I will be disappointed if it's a couple of tracks from a little known artist. My hope is that it's a festival style production with multiple artists contributing. They've shown they can deliver this and would excuse the delay in releasing any news due to potentially complex organisation.
Apple have a top secret VR/AR team full of the worlds finest brains. They dont even tell their friends and family what they're working on.
Oculus (Venues) are also filming their own musical VR content. I was looking at some on my headset this weekend. Its not curated or delivered to the same quality as Melody but they have a very powerful platform to take it to the world (facebook).
Personally, I'd be very concerned if we had no competition, it would show a market that nobody wanted to enter.
I recall some of this board raving about NextVR a couple of years ago and how they were right to be throwing loads content out there. They have been proven wrong IMO.

Burning Man festival have announced that they will be delivering the festival virtually this year, given the circumstances. They have not yet announced how they will be delivering it. https://mobile.twitter.com/burningman
There's a lot going on. The Courteeners did a gig on Instagram last night. This is a huge opportunity for Melody as artists will quickly settle on a delivery method. Let's hope something significant and quality is announced very shortly.
I like your thinking.
Link it to Glastonbury being cancelled if you want to be overtly sales but that's dangerous at this time.
My point is that they should make a significant chunk if content available for free for a limited time. This would drive users to the platform, create news interest and encourage those new users on the platform to potentially buy more content or log in again in the future. Also looks good from a PR perspective. My only reservation is whether rights and royalties allow them to do it.
I didn't see that. Is it just that session? That session is one of the best I've seen on Melody.
Melody should think about making all or some more content free for a short period of time to drive traffic to the App. Whilst a 56% rise is great, we know that this is from a small base.
Not usually one for speculation but, as has been said, no activity is usually followed by an announcement. No twitter posts since the 4th Feb and a spike in the share price makes me hope something is announced shortly. We'll see.
In an attempt to add some balance. To say be patient to those who have been invested for over 2 years is patronising. If, like a lot of us, you bought following the initial spike from 0 to 10p then it's likely you are sat on a loss and that can be frustrating. You can say average down but you dont know people's financial position. You can say sell but accepting a loss is not really human nature and you have to time your sell right. You may also have faith in the model but frustrations with the leadership. Where I differ from Optimist is that I still believe in AM and the board. VR headsets haven't taken off in the way I thought but I think they will in time and I'm pleased with the progress made adapt to mobile.
The biggest thing that puts me off is the petty squabbling on a once valuable information source. It makes me feel like I'm invested with a bunch of kids.
Anyone remember the days of the Oracle and when people posted valued links to industry progress? ahhh those were the days.
Why today?
Not to be pedantic but I'd more specifically say revenue generation. I think this has been the case for a while now but feels like the duck are in a row.
And yet they are putting out live music events for big name artists.
What do we think about Oculus Venues as a competitor?
I notice that they're producing more and more content in a range of areas.
I'm a bit confused, have Melody actually launched the subscription model?
Dont you usually troll them on twitter?
Great- I don't use the App store but that strikes me as a big deal?!
Shrewd comment. I just wish they'd stop telling us 'coming soon'. I dont mind waiting but I'd rather not get my short term hopes up.
