I've set my alarm. Really looking forward to it, unlike the Liam Payne gig.

I'll be setting my alarm for 2am sun morning and checking it out on the Go. Hope the wife doesn't catch me, might take some explaining! I'll report back (on the gig).

Of course he'll promote it, it's his gig for charity exclusively via Melody. The prerecorded stuff last week was gigs that have been and gone. There's not much of an incentive for a top name to promote a re run gig.

Very pleased with the RNS. John Legend is a superstar, if he's one of the first artists lined up for free I'd imagine there are some big artists lined up. Charging is short sighted IMO, the more engaging with the App and the tech the more income to come down the road. I'm happy again.

I can see this too. That's a positive sign.

Fortunately for this BB, I speak street and he's actually expressing the lack of connectivity with fans through the live performances we're seeing. Maybe this is a sign that he'll be doing a VR gig with Melody?

Let's see how social media reacts, could potentially take off. We're currently at 6,700 twitter followers and 30k facebook followers, a good week would be a 4 or 5 fold increase IMO.

How is it very clever? Almost every content industry is giving out free content. The difference is that most businesses gave it away 5 weeks ago.

Have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. They should have sought to give away free content weeks ago. I think it's the right thing to do but I'm expecting live performances

I have to say that I would be staggered of it with Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. It of course would be incredible!

I'm trying to think of this from the record companies POV and theyd have to be convinced to throw their two biggest artists to Melody. Whilst Melody have proven they can deliver live performances (Wireless, Liam Payne), it's a hell of a jump to deliver this. I really hope I'm wrong.

It would, however, excuse the long silence around live performances.

Either that or they're very good at burning cash!

Clearly some movement on social media. The number if twitter followers in increasing at a rate of about 10 per hour. It was previously about 4 per day. Nothing to write home about but clearly a gear change and I can't work out what has caused this. As someone else said, must be social media advertising.

Social followers are one of the few metrics we have and a good indication of interest.

I like the sound of that, implies there will be lots of them! I will check the Go shortly to see if that has the same update.
