Unfortunately I'm out of the country but had planned to attend the AGM. Would appreciate it if someone could pose the following question to Mike Owen. Given his involvement with Avacta and Reneuron (both of which I used to hold stock in before they both bombed - lucky escape) I would like to know what he has learned and how he intends to prevent the same happening at SAR?

Thanks for the feedback. Food for thought especially in respect of the costs involved and past replies by the BoD. All in just my opinion and personally I would prefer them not to consolidate.

Looking at past performance of other biotechs we need to be prepared for the next company re-structure. SAR has almost 3bn shares in circulation. All the signs are that there is news in the pipeline. My view (FWIW) is that nothing will happen before Xmas (but would love to be proven wrong). In January we will get a share consolidation (between 10 and 30:1) and news will then drop in February. Currently we have a buying opportunity. There will probably be another in January as consolidations rarely hold value. As the Scouts say, 'be prepared'. I'm hoping to be at the AGM but I'm not anticipating any straight answer to my questions. The answers will be cloaked but tone, body language etc will be everything. Mr Parker has been through all this before. Thoughts? Perspectives? Anyone?

Are we sure this was a sell? Looking at the timing of when the deal was struck and the price being paid for a buy at that point then if I understand the LSE classification correctly (a price struck below the mid point is a sell and a price above the mid point is a buy) then this would have been classified as a buy. If the trade had been announced as a buy at the time the deal was struck then I can only imagine that the price would have shot up with a subsequent speeding ticket. Personal experience has been that some of my buys have appeared as a sell and vice versa. From my perspective this looks like a trade that was delayed to prevent the market overheating. Depending on how the market opens on Monday may be more indicative of whether this was a buy or a sell....

Thanks Thoth. Like you I don't fully understand the technology so I'm sitting on the fence. I have a nasty feeling that someone is playing a big short but could be wildly wrong. The only reason I've kept them on my watchlist is because Stephen Parker is a NED with them. In the meantime thanks for all your insight on SAR.

As a medium term holder with a large holding in SAR I'd like to pose a question to the more balanced participants that the SAR board attracts. As the SP is pretty stagnant here I've been watching Silence Therapeutics this week and would value any insight people might have on the recent activity. A previous CEO has bought almost £1m of shares this month and on Tuesday there was a huge amount of automated buying. Since then the SP has dropped slightly plus virtually no trading. Is this an opportunity? From my untutored point of view it looks like something is about to happen but my cautious side says it could just be normal AIM activity. All perspectives welcome while we wait on SAR....
