RE: Sareum Tyk2 SDC-1802 Poster!31 Oct 2019 09:59
A quick review of the last 24 hours ā I had anticipated that the detail behind the abstract would be good but have little if any impact on the SP. I was wrong. The SP actually went up. Today it goes down. Back to square 1. As Thoth points out, the potential for 1802 is now enormous but at the moment it is only potential. In the past, companies with potential have commanded enormous premiums (remember Knutsford? Archie Norman et al got together an investment vehicle and based simply on their reputations the value of the business prior to ANY deals skyrocketed). The difference between SAR and Knutsford is the people. The latter were by reputation deal makers and brokers. SAR on the other hand have no track record in this respect (for the 737 deal with Sierra they were a passenger). Tim and John are scientists and I have no gripe with the fact that the poster was steeped in scientific jargon. However, the NEDās are supposed to be the commercial and strategic advisors. Following the presentation Citigate should have been briefed on how to put out a PR bulletin using plain English. This omission is in my opinion nothing short of criminal and shows the naivety of the NEDās. Not surprisingly nobody in the investment community (outside readers of this board) has, as a result, a clue as to the real potential of SAR and furthermore they do not see a team who can commercialise. I completely agree with Utah in that I can see another year go by while they piddle around with the science and ply the investors with every excuse under the sun as to why they canāt do a deal and why they didnāt deliver significant value in the forecast 12 (now 6) months. Silence is often used to mask the fact that something is going on (hope springs eternal etc) but it can also be a double play to mask the fact that in reality very little of commercial value is going on. As Iāve pointed out previously, being under an NDA does not prevent you from publicising your wares. If anything it helps to build the price and in the event of a deal falling through you have an immediate position to fall back upon. The scientific news has been great this week but the strategic commercial nouse is woeful. Time to sharpen the knives in preparation for December I fear.
