Hu11 - yeah, Richard Marsden is not an overly promotional CEO, that hangs loads of promises of news tomorrow, like many AIM CEOs that are full of sh*t, and the promises never materialise. Many won't be used to that and probably react accordingly ;)

And I'm going to reply further on this thread since everyone's falling for Punit's bait.

You look at the trading today and yesterday. It's swining up and down around 43p. As some people worry and sell others buy their stock.

Obviously there's no certainty. If we were certain of COPD and COVID success this would probably be at 300p!
I'm seeing them on the basis of there being a very good chance of success and that doesn't mean that's guaranteed.
If it was guaranteed I would never have sold any and still be holding a position worth about £250k right now.
A major holder will be in a similar position and it's absolutely no surprise that some have taken profit (I did).
I wouldn't have increased my position back here if I didn't think there was a good shot at there still being massive rises.
The PI trading (and posting) is just noise and can easily swing up/down 15% on nothing (especially as people react to the SP rather than fundamentals).
The very fact you're feeling this way and some others just proves it.

No it's not fair to assume anything like that. You might have lots of people having taken positions (think it's fairly obvious we have) but using up the sells left in the market by a flipper like Acacia. The short term trading has very little bearing on the future prices. This is a classic AIM PI assumption that leads them to buying on the highs and selling at the lows.

And if I didn't know better I'd say he's just a trader trying to manipulate you by posting titles of the thread like this one to manipulate you into becoming negative. I can see he's posted very similar on other board and followed up by things on the TILS board like "I got out at 117p you losers ahaha".

I think you're just falling for it.

It's really not. The price is feck all difference from the average yesterday. Every time the price rises a few pence he says it's going to be 120p today or this week. Or something silly like that. Every time it's not significantly up he's posting as if it's tanking. It's the exact opposite of a legitimate question.
This sort of nonsense is a distraction from what's the most exciting period in the company's history on the cusp of massive news on various front.

Always a great sign when Punit says "why the drop". Price usually is basically about the same price as the previous day and then rises by a few pence afterwards.

I never read into these things too much (all a game of smoke and mirrors) but that's where you want them ;)

After that positive interview I think it's time to close the laptop, as any extra heat-creating device, in this weather, is a no-no.

Although to temper that expectation the end of the interview it sounds more like he's gearing up for partnering as originally planned.

When talking about further fundraising, he's already explained they're covered for all the existing stuff but says:
"I won't say no to that, and I can't say yes either, so we need to see what the data looks like, how strong it is, and what the follow on activities are".

So if the data is good, the price rockets, they raise cash, and follow on activities could be mega COVID sales, and ramping up the business for COPD etc.

"I think getting this hospital dosed data set in July is going to be such a big event for us".

I think he's pretty excited. Maybe the hospital data is better than I'd hoped.

Note when he's talking about COVID, he says:
"If we get really good data, and if the agencies like the overall package, then we could be in a position to supply millions of doses later this year. So we need to be continually investing in that. The activity there started several weeks ago".

Would they really have started ramping up their supply chain investment "weeks ago" if they thought the data wasn't looking good? You'd surely be preserving that cash in case something changed and this company has typically been very tight with its cash and very rarely places shares.

Jakman - I imagine they were fairly busy racing to address the COVID opportunity with the few staff they had. I imagine they're now managing how they best grow the business. Releasing the COPD data might push this to 120p. Placing at 100p to provide even more funding for developing that and/or the COVID mass-release.

All total speculation but well within the realms of possibilities.

And if the drug is a success, a placing wont be at 35p, you'd be talking 50p, 75p, or 100p, or more, then the share price soaring further north, because they'd be cashed up and mass-marketing a COVID drug, and preparing to tackle giant markets in COPD etc.

I think if they're doing a placing it's the wildcard scenario which enables the highest potential share price.
Ie, you ignore takeovers, market COVID drug yourself, and keep all the profit, then go on to market it for COPD, potentially asthma, and other things.
Instead of £200m or £500m in a takeover, if they went alone, with a drug that works, that's the billion(s) dollar company route.

Sounds like RM agrees with me in that he doesn't think they've been selling down any more shares recently.
Although there did seem to be an iceberg being chomped at 45p today.
Maybe they've done a bit more now.

Would help if the interviewer was a bit more up to date with the company. Still going on about Link rather than Acacia!
