I don't think it's entirely surprising that the body isn't in full on recovery mode when you're dosing it up to fight off the infection (ignoring them primarily saying it's Lambda having this effect rather than IFN-B used here).
You don't send in the troops for rebuilding whilst the battle is raging, to use an analogy.

Judging by the shops today (and beaches etc on the TV) lots of people aren't taking the virus seriously anymore. The mrs came back from the shop fuming at the hordes of people bustling around barging into each other etc. Still, the economy will be doing fractionally better....;)

I'm well aware of the various endpoints. There's no need to keep posting the same link over and over.

Basically: The AZN INEXAS trial, as far as I'm aware, had two major flaws, in that it wasn't purely in patients confirmed to have a virus (only 48% did), and didn't account for corticosteroid usage (which is common in these sort of patients and believed to be an interaction that impacts negatively - ie they reduce immune response). Subsequent analysis showed good impact in the subset of those patients that actually did have a virus.
Also the trial population didn't have a high exacerbation rate, cited as a negative, although I'm less clear on why that's cited as a negative (other than for the trial itself) since surely that arguably suggests the IFN-B helped prevent this and therefore prevented exacerbations to treat!
Hence, I believe (and I'm sure I read this in an old research note from one analyst), there's good reason to believe it was dumped early because it didn't meet their criteria for progression, but may well have had significant reasons why the data wasn't as conclusive as hoped.

I agree it would seem a bit odd to be telling everyone to basically keep the eyes on the news in July if he wasn't fairly confident.
I reckon most likely case is:
-the COPD results are "good" (perhaps a BCSS score of around 2), but isn't a trial where you'd magically expect everyone to get better, because it's not the cure for the underlying disease. However good enough to get partners interested for progressing.
-the COVID hospital data is actually looking better than probably expected, hence pushing people to look out for those results, and the home trial will obviously be further down the line, as it's ongoing.

Not long to go to find out.

Chrishar - that's because there isn't any tangible "bad" to reflect on!
There's merely mood swings based on the short term trading! That's why it's dismissed!
Not being near a broker target is never a red flag. I'd wager 90% of stocks are nowhere near the broker target and the smaller cap they are the further away they'll be usually.
There's sometimes some decent analysis in the broker notes but often it takes material success for the potential to be reflected in the share price.
That's the benefit, and the gamble, you take by buying a stock before value is cemented. The discount can be high for risk (arguably far too high) and is what gives you the potential of blockbuster rewards.

ShareSting - and those IIs can balls up worse than anyone else. There's been a string of stories about their failures in recent years. This is probably one of their better holdings! They sold a batch earlier in the year but stopped. There's no way to tell if they're selling another one until it's done. It can temporarily spook people as they see things not rising despite buying but all of a sudden that selling pressure can vanish and the price rise fast when they're done. It's why it's a fools errard trying to read into the short term trading.

L2 won't tell you what's a "buy" or a "sell". That's just an automated guess based on the midprice. It's wrong a large chunk of the time. Many people would argue the spread is deliberately placed often to make there appear more buys than sells or vice versa. Precisely because many people don't understand this.

Ghia - that's what does my head in too. The place is nice but everything was clearly done in a rush to sell. Makes everything so much more difficult to sort nicely when someone's fecked it up in the first place!

Ghia - yeah I've been scrubbing the bathroom slate floor with paint stripper, in between working, because whoever did up this place did such a half-assed job there was still paint/plaster engrained in it. It's truly thrilling stuff.
