Terry's right but I suppose if an OEM wanted to be confident the DMS was going to do what you wanted it to at Level 2 or 3 or somewhere in between there really isn't much choice.
Other reasons more in SEEs favour than against - time, chip, contract values.
1. Eyesight contract announced in November 2019, software only, US$15 million contract
2. SEYE, announced in May 2020, software only, one of mega contract so hard to say what value US contract has.
Of the 2 above the Eyesight contract value rules it out, for Eyesight that's massive and Lucid ain't. But it doesn't rule out SEYE but maybe time does.
Also, tech wise, both it's questionable but still no legislation in place but there is a question about image.
In favour of SEE - level 2+ and tech, no RNS, even with minimal NRE, maybe still not on SEEs financially significant radar.
Against all 3 - possible, Lucid hasn't chosen the DMS yet but I struggle with how it can do that.
I think the more it goes on, the more there will be uncertainty until the DMS provider is allowed to name a model, this is a good example
