Perhaps you should tell your young friend that Tesla isn't 'harvesting' data as he thinks and that in turn is the reason for the bad publicity following crashes. That is it has no internal cameras of any merit and even the external cameras are there for other reasons.

Saying that Tesla does have all the 'parts' that are required for AV but that's only part of the problem. The bigger problem is how to get those parts to work together. I think that's what your young friend is hanging onto and was one of the reasons why the SP motored, after Elon said AV by year end as it would have all that was required. However, I think you could say that of most AV company or indeed a typical OEM or two. But Elon said it, that's the difference.

Smoke and mirrors and best not to compare. As S2020 said, or along the lines of, it's getting to SOP that's the important bit. If you're looking at that purely on OEMs, SEE is or will very shortly be, world leaders and those vehicles, due to the tech, you'd expect pretty difficult to get to SOP.

SEYE has 6 BMWs on the road, for now the rest, even the early ones nowhere to be seen, the early ones most definitely delayed at best.

As for Fleet and Aviation, no comparison. But a bit of a backhanded compliment or a SWF moment?

If it is Level 2 + you order, in Europe, the US and elsewhere it would be very dangerous (litigation) to have anything other than a DMS /DSM with very high availability.

Add on to that, not too far in the future, legislation /regulation comes into play and is SEEs friend. Remember SEE was the only such provider involved with NCAP and word is NCAP ain't going soft so others, potentially all, will struggle in Europe regardless of level 2 or above.

SEYE Level 2+? After Porsche, Audi et al, unless it includes at least 2 camera's which increases the cost it hasn't got the availability, would be similar to Tesla Autopilot /FSD.

Yes there are many reasons to be positive at present and hopefully even more so in the coming weeks and months.

However, I can't get out of my minds eye the earlier interview when PM appeared somewhat unprofessional in a media interview which is viewed extensively due to the lack of a tie. So if there is enough interest I propose to start a crowd funding page in order to purchase Paul one or two executive class ties, one in a nice pastel colour and another in tartan as I suspect he has Scottish heritage and would really appreciate such a gesture. If there's enough interest and enough raised I will ask Sophie what clan Big Mc is a member of. I'm sure it will bring a tear to his eye. All in favour, like this post and I'll arrange it.

The dilution was roughly 50%. The cost also plans knocked backwards at least a year which feasibly is as big blow but it's all related. Where should it be today, the previous high besides 3 earlier auto RNS was partially fueled by takeover rumours so not a good place to start. I think you need to value, if possible, the various segments, or legs, of the business as it is today and other factors before coming to a fair sp. seeingtom is probably spot on.

Good explanation of the ASIL ratings. A while ago, Semicast rated SEE as up to ASIL C/D whilst the rest were ASIL B ie driver monitoring is a safety concern. Xilinx is up to ASIL D which is useful.

Yes, interesting, especially that this particular product is ASIL B. Having had a look at Texas and Renasas it's variable but up to ASIL D. Only ASIL D would be accepted by OEMs for a safety function, that is in Europe and the USA etc. However, NXP has 39% of its overall business in China who may accept ASIL B which elsewhere is viewed as acceptable for a convenience function.
