I’ve learned to welcome (in an annoying way!) any increase in coordinated board negativity when coupled with positive SP movement. It signals a clear level of anxiety on the part of those with a negative agenda.
These posts are easily spotted, borderline amusing and definitely counterproductive.

So many correct pieces of the jigsaw lying on the table, face up and in plain sight. Just needs Art to link up the first two pieces and the full picture will start to materialise!

Just want to disassociate myself and this thread from Calamari’s comments. AM has a great track record in concluding big deals.
My only concern is that I’ve yet to see him present professionally. Maybe you think last night’s effort was flawless, maybe not. That does not in any way impact upon his ability to construct and close a deal. That is clearly ridiculous.

You can only understand what is clearly put in front of you. Just making the point that, to my eyes, yesterday was a wasted opportunity. Easily fixed in the future and with very little effort.

I never alluded to being sophisticated but, sophisticated or not, you shouldn’t have to get ‘beyond the presentation to the facts’.

Absolutely not. This share is going to be HUGE. Shouldn’t stop me voicing valid concerns about communication. Just stating the glaringly obvious, no rose tinted specs.....

Agree Tiburn, so many positive things to put across, but they were crowded out in a poorly prioritised presentation. Looked like no thought had been put into presentation timing or, crucially, what were the priority items to get across to a captive audience.
The good news is there - just deliver it!
I believe AM is doing a cracking job in building a huge opportunity, but he really isn’t good at communicating it.

It’s clear to see now, this SP is going to need hard facts on the ‘big topics’ to drive it upwards. I wasn’t actually expecting fireworks today, but wasn’t expecting a reversal either! That said, I’m not trading, I’m investing, so happy to wait. It’ll come.
Given that most shares would have spiked sharply on such news, there does appear to be real caution from the market with regards AM’s words. Takes me back to my usual mantra in such circumstances, ‘communication is King’. Concise, clear, accurate and regular communication is required to move forward. Please, no more waffly, unrehearsed presentations that leave the meaty stuff to be crammed into an over-run period and so reducing time for questions to be answered. The market wants facts in black and white.
Still extremely positive about the prospects here - I’d expected a potential JV or TO after initial proving of the big discovery, but very happy to see such interest so early. It’s clearly huge, it just needs a concrete plan to fully exploit it. Expecting a close neighbour to be in the frame to help or shortly....

Simple. Confirmed RNS’ed news on big items, not just suggestions that they might happen. However, the difference between the promise and the fact equals the investment value we buy into.
RBL, production increases, JV etc in black and white required.

You can always tell when something big is happening, out come the muppets!! They come out when it gets ‘interesting’. Then the self appointed ‘process police’ come out and tell us all what to do. Wish the board was rid of both of these polar opposite groups, but it’s a worthless wish.

Not too interested in market reaction as yet, I was looking for your outlook on it. Agree the detail is yet to be filled in, but you generally found the JV, gas, flow rates etc all positives, subject to clarifications?

Can’t speak for anyone else, but I loved the great content to be found within a terribly executed presentation. The news of a potential JV is fantastic, agreed? The choice of three potential RNL lenders a real positive, yes? The unbooked gas reserves - great news, yeah? Etc, etc.
There are still games being played, but you must be looking beyond that as a continued investor, so the outlook is generally positive?

The most important, or genuinely positive?
I’m assuming, as an investor, that you have a planned exit point? Where are you hoping this will be by year end, on the basis that JV and RBL are delivered?

I’m offering a suspected deramper an opportunity to be positive about COPL. His silence since speaks volumes. Certainly more effective that name calling.

Tiburn, been thinking along those lines myself. It was a strange time to actually define drill dates when you haven’t secured the hardware. That, coupled with the stated hope of a JV being announced this month, makes me think that negotiations have been ongoing for some time and are far further progressed than most expect.
I’m thinking the ‘recognised major’ may be a close neighbour....

Give him a chance. He states that he’s invested in COPL so he must have taken something positive from yesterday’s developments, the vast majority of his fellow investors did.

As an investor, are you fully aware of how you’re coming across? I’m all for seeing both sides of an argument, but it’s very easy to lose all credibility when you’re openly negative about something you say you’re invested in.
