Just got round to reading today’s posts - and what a lovely calm on the BB!! From muppet overload to muppet free zone in 24hrs. Always a reason behind such wild swings in BB muppet activity.
Ain’t gonna tempt fate by making predictions, but it’s pretty obvious something about to happen...

Going to do the deal, 50% ownership for 50% of investment to date, all further investment to be halved, with an agreed cost for my further input and project management.
Strike a deal Art. I’m going to be quids in (both short and long term) and my senior (emotional) investor is going to sleep a lot better. Will have quite a different ongoing relationship with my bank too!!

Currently renovating an old barn and it’s a surprisingly similar experience to holding COPL! Lovely old building, bought for a steal. I’m making reasonable progress, but not as quickly as initially planned. Why? Weather, planning, building regs, old building ‘issues’, change of plans, let down by suppliers etc etc. Knew it wouldn’t run smoothly, but no-one could have foreseen all the issues.
My favourite bit (not!) is when I get the inevitable ‘thought you’d have been finished by now’ comments from people who wouldn’t know the difference between a brick and a prick!! Most projects look easy from the outside, just like COPL....
I’ll get it done and I know it could very well elk be the best project I’ve ever done.
Funnily enough, just as development funds are getting tight (but not critically), a friend of mine approached me about buying in last weekend. He knows what I have and is tabling a very fair offer. Although it’s an amazing asset, I may well have bitten off more than I can chew. Giving his offer serious thought.....I’d rather own half a palace than all of a on unfinished project!
It’ll come good,one way or another - the asset is just too valuable now. Sound familiar?

A ‘steady as she goes’ RNS that was never going to generate a huge market reaction. Yes, the clock is ticking, but when you have RBL, JV and production issues to negotiate (all having an effect on each other), it simply isn’t a quick job. Personally glad that they backed away from a high rate RBL during the height of financial market wobble, as they state. They’re still in a strong position to negotiate a decent deal, especially if JV were to get signed off first. An element of realism is required here re timelines, with many variables to juggle. Yes it’s frustrating, but’ as a LTH’ I’d much rather they got the big deals right than snatch at a deal just to appease short term stock gamblers. Still extremely confident this will come good.
