There’s a lot of c**p posted on here that is far less believable than me receiving a reply to an e-mail, so I’ll not be posting screen shots etc. If you don’t believe me, fine - I’ll survive!!
Alternatively, send a polite e-mail and you might get a polite response. He’s currently inundated with correspondence and is filtering it. Anything abusive, currently about 95%, is being ignored.
One snippet - the weather has deteriorated again, but it has not resulted in shut down this time as they now have six snow ploughs on site. Good news.

AM seems to have replied to a few e-mails yesterday, myself included. Basically, a limit to what he could (or wanted) to say, but I felt suitably reassured.
Shocked and ashamed to hear about the level of serious abuse AM (and now even members of his team) have encountered from UK ‘investors’. What the hell is happening here? I don’t agree with everything AM does or says, but I’ll argue my case without malice. It would appear some are using the anonymity of social media to just hurl abuse and, in a couple of more serious incidents, offer up death threats!!! What the hell is wrong with some people? If we witness any of this, let’s call it out for what it is.

I’ll respect your right to an opinion.

The numbers are possible, but life ain’t like that…and certainly not in the oil game. I’m being convinced that news is close.

IMHO, we should all be reading and fully understanding this ‘perspective’. Not a million miles away from my own thoughts, following much research etc.
Also, it’s clear that some want to see this BB clogged up with posts full of trivial c**p. Don’t help them, just ignore. Genuine debate is healthy, but not that c**p….

Liked the ‘tidy up’ RNS, news will be close after that.

Illusion, will check when I get home. However, let me guess… huge trades that look as though they must have been pre-planned?

Was a shockingly quick drop Bolton, all because the badly worded RNS put the fear of God in PIs who simply didn’t have time to read a 300+ page prospective. It’s that complete disconnect that annoyed me, spooked the market and have the MMs a field day (or 2,or 3!).
Would love to see a full break down of all deals yesterday….

Not going to lie, I was nervous this morning. Even though AM sent me a few reassuring words last night, my big concern was the toxic sentiment that yesterday generated. Thankfully, it went the way I’d hoped and, to lesser degree, expected.
To be frank, yesterday’s TNS was an overloaded, ill conceived document that highlighted perfectly why AM requires professional PR advice. It simply was not good enough and has cost many people a lot of money.
So, what next for COPL? Ironically, there were glaring positives in the RNS that were understandably overlooked. The main one for me was relating to a JV - the simple use of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’. Art is blunt in his communication, he just dumps facts with little thought to how they’ll be perceived. That RNS was not over thought or clever, it was a news dump. Hence why I believe a deal is extremely close to completion - the talk was of detail. Could be wrong, but for AM to state that he and his partners were surprised by the market’s reaction made me think of the mindset of a man who’s past caring about market reaction.
We’ll see….

There will be many who will no longer have the luxury of a choice - the drop was so quick that they are effectively locked in now. Not a great place to find yourself, but all is not lost. All that factually changed yesterday was AM having to make a regulatory cash warning. Of far more worry to myself was the damage done to an already wobbly reputation. COPL are now in a fight against very negative market sentiment. They need to PR their way out of that as a matter of urgency, or it will adversely affect any potential deals done.

That was my take at the time, a view shared by many at the time. I can’t remember anyone for seeing yesterday’s events, so we all got that wrong.
My personal viewpoint, and that’s all it is, is that it will still come good, when that is will be anyone’s guess, but if it does it will still be huge. The asset is too big, the potential remains huge. Not a ‘ramp’ in any way, just my opinion. You’ll have yours, which I shall respect, but not necessarily agree with.

Weal, I received a response from AM last night, snippet below. Don’t understand the ‘surprise’ he refers to, not given the RNS wording made it sound like an imminent issue. Looking at previous prospectus, it’s not the first time they’ve had to issue such warnings, but they’ve clearly underestimated the reaction to this one…no one predicted yesterday, despite many ‘told you so’ posts.

‘We had to file a shelf prospectus yesterday. As such the working capital statement in the prospectus was flagged by the FCA. They required an RNS outlining the worst case scenario which we complied with. Read the RNS carefully, you should see all is not as bad as the market thinks.
Our lender was surprised by the reaction as were others.’

Wish it was that easy with the missus!!!

Quite a few people on here massively over-thinking this. Just needs time.
Too many ‘investors’ (gamblers) eager to give advice on how to run an oil company, or negotiate a $B deal (with zero experience of either).
Have a word with yourselves!!

Don’t get me wrong, some very poor ramping too, but the brazen, unsolicited negative statement posts…well they’re just pointless. Please don’t respond and give them the oxygen they crave, just ignore and let them tumble down the BB and disappear….

I actually like it when you see the full de-ramp crew come out to play, they wouldn’t bother if they weren’t expecting movement. Does make you wonder how some people live though, a bit sad sitting on a BB churning out negativity all day.

Don’t disagree in general, this isn’t a ‘fun’ share and, yes, the market is holding it down until proven. Once you accept that (and that there’s an NDA in place that none of us know the details of), then there appears little logic in monitoring and commenting on it 24/7. Putting aside the fact that such comments will make no difference at all, it would also appear to be a rather sad waste of life.
If you believe, chill.
If you don’t, then ‘invest’ elsewhere.
