I recall from a presentation ( I think Lindy) that it was explained that the change was indeed linked to variants. As I recall the neutralizing antibodies were given a different type of tail thus changing the attack on the S protein. The attack on the N prorein remained unchanged.

I can see why CEPI like Immunobody.

Obviously, we have to await the unfolding of events. How will Covidity's immune responses compare with other vaccines. Well Lindy has already said she is seeing better responses in animals. If this superiority is replicated in clinical trials then Immunobody could play a major part in not just Covid19 but many other viruses.

It is the strength of the response caused by the dual presentation that is now augmented by Avidimab.

The video talked about 25 viral families which contain in total 200 viruses. But there is potential for a great many more viruses as yet unknown. A platform that has the potential to create a strong immune response against any target is going to be priceless.

Yes Hasiba, nothing has changed today.
We know Scancell is on CEPI's radar.

We don't know what discussions have already taken place between Scancell and CEPI or any other company for that matter.
We don't know when the Covidity P1 trial will take place yet.

The above 2 items are frustrating but totally understandable at this stage.

I've always said funding is most likely to happen when safety is known and immune responses have been measured i.e. part way through a P1 trial or at the end of the P1 trial. Remember the Innovate UK grant covered a P1 trial.
For the 2 companies given money today, perhaps this is their first grant of funds.
Patience is the name of the game.
We don't know how far development of the delivery has progressed.

It was less likely that CEPI would hand over funds when the milestone attached to the Innovate UK funds has not yet been reached.

I hope you get a refund from the insurance.

We now have to wait to see if Scancell do indeed form part of CEPI's plans but the indications do look good.
It may not just be about Covidity but also about the wider use of Immunobody to fight a range of infectious diseases. They do say on their main website that they are interested in platforms.
It's pleasing that Lindy's work now seems to be getting the attention it has deserved for so long.

Yes, I too think that CEPI would not want to commit funds until Scancell have evidence of Covidity's efficacy.
But it would be great if I were wrong.
