I would say that the 3 factors that have slowed Modi1 progress are

a) The addition of Amplivant

b) The difficulty of manufacture

c) Scancell is a very small biotech so sometimes cannot call on required extra knowledge/experience at short notice e.g. for manufacturing Adrian Parry was recruited whereas for the equivalent situation in a larger company maybe several people are available to collectively solve problems.

Yes I agree Ruck, you can never be 100% certain.

But then if you combine cytotoxic CD4+ T Cells with the following:

a) Conjugation with Amplivant to achieve enhanced activation of the T Cells and higher avidity
b) Evidence of a memory response in animals
c) The depth of understanding that Lindy and her team have now acquired on the exact mode of action that Moditope invokes
d) The strong link to autoimmune diseases that set Lindy off on this track
e) Lindy is working on her 3rd vaccine
f) The amount of interest Moditope is attracting from other scientists - ref the grand challenge, the CAB, the Biontech collab, the Karolinska collab

and most important of all
g) the targets which are ubiquitously expressed in a wide range of cancers and these targets form part of a patent

Sure, none of this guarantees success, but I find it very probable that Lindy is well ahead of other research in this area.

More entertaining than last night's fight night that sent me to sleep.

I do think Lindy is ahead of the game as far as CD4+ cytotoxic T Cells are concerned but this I have concluded from my own research.
So, I highly recommend that folks interested in the science use Inan's posts as a starting point and then try to find other articles in the same area. Then you can make your own mind up with a little more confidence.

One thing we obviously don't know at present is how effective they will be in a clinical trial.

Scancell potentially have 4 clinical trials branching out from the phase 1 results.

This is Inan's claim

I haven't found anything to dispute this claim despite multiple searches.

Never in the history of Scancell has the Coefficient of Pivotocity been so high.

It's good to see that cancer research is going ahead, maybe faster than before with more pairs of hands.
Putting Covidity aside for a moment, Scancell have a great pipeline of cancer products

1) SCIB1/Keytruda trial to resume as soon as Covid permits
2) Modi1 awaiting final manufacture and expected to be ready for trial next quarter
3) Modi2 now in development
4) Modi3 being researched
5) SCIB2 plans to be decided
6) Glycans Mabs, each one of which has great potential (a great sign that it looks like 2 new patents have been applied for)
7) Avidimab can be applied to any mAb
8) No doubt left wing news to come with Lindy's discovery of an early stage cancer target and then also the association with Continuum

The May being the "May blossom" or hawthorn. So when hawthorn flowers around Nottingham Lindy will start the trial. All after the final naked hill covorting ceremony of course. Lindy will ceremoniously cut the cardboard ribbon.
This sequence of events will guarantee success.

It's great that CEPI is getting publicity and I can't see that 3.5B will not be raised. Then it's also great that Scancell have been noticed by CEPI. Immunobody may have a great future in the fight against those 25 viral families.
