So it looks very much like many people have the CD4+ memory TCells from previous encounters with other Coronaviruses especially the common cold. At the same time it appears that the avidity of these cells is too low to cope effectively with Covid19. Inducing high avidity in these T Cells does seem to be a very promising approach. It is something that Lindy has always stressed.

There's nothing stopping Scancell having discussions with partners at this stage but clinical data is key to securing a good deal.
A P1 trial should be quick and easy to run and will produce valuable readouts of immune responses.

In the meantime (or not as the case may be) we have 2 very important cancer trials due to start as soon as it is practical.
What's not to like about that overall situation?

Don't get me wrong, I do think there will be a partnership with a large pharma.
I just don't think it is easy to devise the delivery method since the vaccine needs to gain access into 2 types of cells. But once they have cracked this problem then I think the project will move very quickly into a phase 1 trail.

It seems increasingly likely to me that Scancell's 2 cancer trials will actually get started before the Covidity trial.

All the recent publicity prompted me to think that Scancell were now happy with the Covidity delivery method. Now, in the absence of a definite timescale from CH, I am not so sure. They are sticking with a starting date of sometime this year which suggests that there is still work to do on the delivery.

Still on track, though, to have 3 trails started this year. Just a reminder that Scancell is far from being a 1 trick pony.

To be fair, if I was new to Scancell, I would think what a great little company.
Probably 3 trials starting this year, a pipeline to die for, and loads of cash to implement the plans.
Cliff was just re-iterating in his own inimitable style what we LTHs already know.

OK, I think it is probable that the Covidity trial will be the 3rd Scancell trial to start this year, not the first.

England have started their 2nd innings well accumulating 6 runs for the loss of only 2 wickets :-)

It could just signal that Scancell may, from now on, keep investors better informed of all projects at more frequent intervals.
In the past, for some projects, we would only get an update at the AGM.
