We may see soon how well a defence (Keytruda) and an attack (SCIB1) work together.
IMO this article is talking about another defence. In this case trying to block off one of the proteins that is important to the growth of tumours. I suspect it will work best in combination with a drug that attacks the cancer.
Scancell has a growing number of attackers, some of which may not need the help of a defender. Having said that, Lindy herself is a great believer in using drugs in combination and will advocate a defence/attack combination where she thinks it is appropriate. So, for instance, one of the cancers that the Modi1 trial is addressing may be used in combination with a checkpoint inhibitor.
