It could be that the scientific community is coming round to the point of view that a strong T Cell response is essential for long lasting immunity. Including N protein epitopes in the targets seems a logical step but I would imagine that T Cells of high avidity is crucial to success.

It could be that Immunobody now reinforced with Avidimab provides the best bet for creating that strong response.
To combine these 2 platforms looks like sheer genius by Lindy.

All we need now is that delivery system then it looks like it is all systems go.

I think it very unlikely that Covidity is part of the UK Gov short term plan i.e. the 3rd jab in the Autumn
But come the end of Covidity P1 and it is positive then all hell will be let loose.

Yes, I understand that the PGM target of 136K pa is linked to the Inyoni chrome expansion.
So we won't achieve that target this year but it will be interesting to see what the monthly figures are post expansion. I assume we will be told that at some point in H2.

Do we have enough PGM processing capacity to produce 136,875 pgm ounces pa?

I remember as a kid I had to take this vile cod liver oil in liquid form (a good source of vitamin D).
I always tried to be out of the house playing with my mates when the event happened, hoping my parents would forget to inflict the torture when I returned. So the trial probably took place but no data was collected.

I wonder if this will effect the Pfizer/Biontech deal for influenza.

Going back to Scancell, influenza also has its constant regions.

T Cells epitopes on the influenza stalk region may be good targets for an Immunobody vaccine.
So, if Covidity shows success, this may open the floodgates to treating influenza and perhaps many more viruses.

But as Dalester points out, we in high latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere are particularly deficient in Vitamin D.

Maybe what is required is a much larger trial than the ones so far carried out.
The Spanish trial result headline says 80% of hospitalised patients had vitamin D deficiency. But how many of these patients also had other contributory factors such as obesity?

Vitamin D does seem to play many roles.
The article I posted suggests that it helps prevent T Cell exhaustion and eventual apoptosis.

This is an interesting read and stresses the importance of T Cells in combating Covid19. There are examples of patients dealing with Covid without the help of antibodies.
It also explains that T Cells may well function better when vitamin D levels are high.
Fans of Dr Campbell will know all about vitamin D and it's relevance to Covid19 immunity.

Scancell certainly have a multi-screen cinema. Just looking at the current program:

Screen 1 is still showing"Immunobody 1 (the story of SCIB1)" I can't wait for the sequel "Immunobody 2 - ,the return of the checkpoint inhibitor"
Screen 2 is showing "The birth of Avidimab"
Screen 3 is showing "Immunobody meets Avidimab".
Screens 4 is showing Moditope 1. Many sequels are expected.

There are numerous other screens too. I am going to buy a mega pack of popcorn and a rover ticket so I can wander between screens :-)

I don't think we will see Scancell on the UK gov shopping list until it is proven in a P1 trial or part way through.
Meanwhile they are doing their own popcorn shopping, probably sourcing much of it from the EU. Popcorn wars are inevitable.

I'm off to the supermarket to stock up on popcorn before demand soars. It's all about the number of packets you hold.

To me, it looks like fire fighting until a permanent solution is availab!e. Adapt the current vaccines as new important mutations of the S Protein appear. This is similar to the approach used in flu vaccines.
Surely this just emphasises the importance of the Covidity approach. Think of the expense of trying to vaccinate the world population each year.

However, it could be the saving of Ryanair. Vaccination flights from the EU to the UK :-)
