What deal?18 Dec 2018 13:29
Those who have dished out criticism at me for some of my posts can digest this - I have watched this company for a long time, with a view to buying into it if I see something worth investing in for the longer term. Despite the claims of many, buying at the bottom is way more luck than judgement, and a share that drops after you buy I in is not necessarily the end of the world. I don't have an interest in trading this or any share, so I tend to look in depth at the history and the RNSs, and reread them as time passes to see if the tone changes, and to look at exactly what is being said. I look for specifics, for short, firm statements with clear detail, and any links to people, companies or other associations get googled intensely to try to ascertain how credible the people they rub shoulder with may be. I have seen the most consistent ramping here for ages, and while hindsight is all very well, the pattern of this company showed (IMO) that this placing was extremely odds-on. I feel deeply and genuinely sorry for those who have put money in based on some of what has been said (I have been there a few years ago, believe me!) - it is sickening to see an investment dwindle possibly irreversibly. But the ones who were talking 'deal imminent' over and over again were either sadly misled , or were doing some nasty misleading. I know GM talked of 'six companies', but I have yet to be in any way convinced by any of his presentations - his style is not his fault, he might just be a poor public speaker, but the actual facts he puts across are never strong, the details don't flow off his tongue as they honestly should if things are as good as some would have us believe. If he has eaten slept and breathed this company's activities for a large proportion of his life he should be able to produce hard facts in his sleep, and IMO fails abjectly to do so. So just for the record I am not a 'paid deramper', not a 'troll', not 'seeking to undermine the company', and not 'talking it down to get in cheaper'. I am a potential investor who is damn glad to have followed my instincts and research and not bought in here, I am very sorry for those who have been fleeced, and immensely angry with those who have fabricated tales of imminent success and riches. It is they as much as any failings of the BoD, or 'MMs and their tricks' who are to blame for a lot of losses among some very genuine and I am sure decent people who were persuaded to put their hard-earned in here by some ruthless liars.
