Any 'talks' on a buyout re obviously fiction, otherwise the BoD would have been barred from buying shares in the last fundraising. So anyone who insists that 'talks are advanced' or 'a buyout is looming' is presumably accusing the BoD of flagrant insider trading.

Get real folks - it's a reduction in the number of shares owned. Check the 'before' and 'after' numbers. Optimism is all very well, but you're acting like the captain of the Titanic saying 'we're not sinking, it's just a rise in the sea level.'

If you use your trolling skills on his posts you will find his replies, which are imo pretty much proof that he was only here to pump the share for his own gains, and had no interest in the science and business underlying the company. Hence my perfectly reasonable request for Gilders and Uncanny to put a little flesh on the bones of their sweeping but shallow statements before. But you know that, don't you?

Agree entirely inanaco. It's been discussed here before how, regardless of the organisation behind the research, an article such as this will be used as much as a publicity spike as anything else. The research can be incredible and novel, or it could be just a pipe dream after rooting through the bins at the local mental asylum, but most of the time they are never heard from again, or not for many many years. The article says the science 'could save millions of lives in the future, scientists believe.' That says it all.

Can someone clarify this then - is the company in late stage negotiations of any meaningful sort as alluded to in GM's presentation, or is he in breach of insider rules by buying his recent shares? On that basis the question seems to be is he a liar or a crook? Otherwise how can he buy shares while knowing that some form of deal is on the way? Alternatively, would he be allowed to buy shares if a deal like the one with Mystic was on the cards, where the company basically gets nothing (or at least nothing in any specific time period).
