The Global Group UK Investor Show will be returning to the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre on the 30th of March 2019 - and valirx are down to have a stand there. Re 'that' RNS, I know the board are obliged to release one on a sudden rise of (I think) 50 percent or more - the problem here is that a lot of the rampers seem to think the company did it to spite them, whereas they were complying with the rules and more importantly letting it be known that there was indeed no foundation for it. It looks like it was a pump and dump hysteria that the unscrupulous here were happy to feed, and disappointed when their lie bubble burst.

'Anything in a formal RNS is concrete, hearsay or in presentations is a guide and not formally binding.' - So you're saying GM can claim anything he likes (6 interested parties, staggering results, amazing things just around the corner) and never be held to account for any of it? No wonder he didn't bother preparing for that last one - he could just make it up as he went along, but a lot of the serial rampers seem to have believed it as Gospel. So are his presentations fact or fiction?

Remember it well - that has always stuck in my mind as something that smells decidedly dodgy to me. I also remember at one of the investor show things TW and his buddies did a 'Dragon's Den' where desperate board members had to dance for pennies in front of a bunch of leering pundits. The winner got a grand's worth of shares bought in their company. Not really institutional investment is it? Incredibly demeaning even to enter, and the ultimate humiliation for Satu must have been losing in such a bear-baiting spectacle of a show. Or was there some other incentive to enter? Like 'You dance to my tune and I won't write critical articles about your company?' Just pondering, but as you say Roses, something looks to have happened between Satu and TW to stop the criticism almost at a stroke.

The 'infamous' RNS that said 'we know of no reason for the rise' was, to be fair, absolutely true. Some might say it was the only clear and unambiguous RNS they have ever issued, so give them credit for that please.

Very confusing - I've heard of 'pot calling the kettle black', and also of 'out of the frying pan into the fire', but where does one get kettles calling frying pans. It leaves one as baffles as after a VAL rns.

If that's the case then describing it as 'unprofessional' is an understatement imo. Perhaps one for the Investor Show of people are going. It would be a good public forum to put the BoD on the spot

Rose's- how certain is it that the individual really was GM and not someone pulling the others' chains for a laugh?

Uncanny - can you give us some detail and facts on the 'cusp of commercialisation' and I'll get some money in here. But nothing I've seen so far tells me it's on the cusp of anything positive. Have I missed something?

C7 - re RNSs and how others manage theirs, it comes back again to empty vessels making most noise methinks.

Just one to observe with cynical amusement - our old friend Misterpositive, who many will remember championed this share assiduously for so long before upping sticks and disappearing overnight to OMI, now seems to have turned his attention at the flick of a switch to MATD. Worth bearing in mind when reading posts boasting of imminent multibaggings - often they are not what they seem.

Hey there mate - what's happened with OMI? You were pushing that like crazy, loads of posts daily, and all of a sudden you've jumped ship to an oil share which is now about to be the best thing since sliced bread. Have you stumbled on another 'imminent multibagger' like OMI was going to be (but isn't) and like VAL was going to be (but isn't) - come on, what's going to be the next one after a couple of months of banging this one before you drop it like a hot potato?

Dracula - I have spent the last 12 months or more looking to see if I can find a point where I would put money into the company when it has a reasonable chance of the sp going up by a decent and sustained amount - I am not into the severe risk of day trading - but frankly I have not seen any such point yet. The problem has been that every time I actually say so I get called a 'paid deramper' and there is a flurry of posts from some contributors who think that share ownership is a prerequisite to permission to post. Believe me if there was anything to cause and sustain a rise I'd be in there. The fact remains that had I bought shares to satisfy these people (rather than following my perception of things and not buying) I would be considerably down. You say '...Valirx are trying to come up with something to control/relieve patients of cancer.' The way it looks now makes me wonder if they really are. In cold terms over the last few years they have raised money and taken salaries. The net result is zilch isn't it? Unless there is some massive breakthrough very VERY soon, it looks like a placing at about .25 in a few weeks or so and then a(nother) consolidation, or no placing, no consolidation and then 'curtains.' All imo, but I have spent a lot of time researching and watching this company so please respect my opinion.

Look at it the other way round - if they went from one of the largest firms in the world to a small 'local' one, what would anyone rightly read into that? So what is it reasonable to read into the move up to a major firm with global business workings?

Or maybe the company endorsing Tetley's policy of having 2,000 perforations in every bag.
