There's going to be a great big (and oft-repeated) piece by Aimbig with lots of references to 'discount rates, DCF and NPV', and probably a lot about forensic accounting, hypertrends, pharmacological disturbance theory and suchlike, all of which will leave aimbig with some overblown stage from which to pontificate at will as if his 'research' is actually any better than a load of chartwork with bells and whistles on it, or frankly worse than a long hard broad look at science and the general market and appetite for development. But he's going to do it anyway, and I guarantee it will be a really bleak picture that he 'proves', so I'll just sit and wait for the protestations of innocence and probably some patronising belittling. (Did I say Aimbig? Sorry - the autocorrect on my keyboard does that every time I type TommyFlowers. Can't think why)

I predict confidently that this share will go up. Or down. Or stay the same. It will do any or all of these in no specific order, and over no timescale - could be over seconds, could be years, but possibly something in between. The company will be an unparalleled success, or it will be a complete failure, or something that is neither one nor the other. This will be caused by good management, bad management, the wider market, big pharma, small pharma, traders, investors, global warming, flea infestations, or something else not yet mentioned. It will (or won't) secure financing by megabuck deals, middle sized deals, small deals, no deals, by placing, open offers, philanthropic donations, lottery wins, or some other source. This will happen either this afternoon or at some point subsequent to today. So there you have my predictions. This will enable me to emulate a certain esteemed poster, so in the days, weeks, months, years (or any other scale of time measurement) to come I can refer back to this post and say 'unlike the rest of you I predicted (insert event here) and saw it coming when the rest of you were all talking about one aspect in isolation.'

That phase 1 trial was the one that was originally scheduled for 6 months as I recall, because they didn't expect any of the patients to last that long, then it got quickly extended to 5 years which almost all the patients exceeded. They were expecting to measure safety in dose escalation, but got an almost immediate significant therapeutic effect - correct me if I'm wrong.

A very sensible suggestion Fred. Smartphones also have voice recorders on them so it would make sense to record any q and a or conversation to avoid overly optimistic or pessimistic interpretations of any answers. As a matter of courtesy always ask first if there are any objections to recording as a matter of courtesy, but it makes for much better accuracy.
