RE: Can we survive22 Apr 2020 09:16
Assume (following a written agreement) you turn up at my door to buy my bike and put it in your van and pay me 100.
Now assume we agree you do exactly the same in say, 30 or 60 or 90 days` time. This time around however you call me a couple of days before your obligation to complete on (say) day 28 or 58 or 88 and say sorry, I don`t have my van and I have no place to store your bike. My response, tough. Pay me, we had a contract.
What do PMO care if the counterparty can on-sell and store? "That`s a YP not an MP - your problem". (film quote there, Brucey bonus of you can get it - don`t cheat!)
Unless you are suggesting that the agreement/hedge is "worthless" because the counterparty will default (not complete in breach of its obligations)?
