SK I think the plan was to sell Mexico (TD confirmed this in interview), which is at design stage, and buy producing North Sea assets. Which generates profit now, and with combination of £4bln tax credits would speed up debt repayment. This is really no brainer for me
I`m not an accountant so just wondering how tax credits [against future profits] speeds up debt repayments which are profits agnostic?

You have lost money on your investments it seems. Sirius was v high risk. PMO is h risk.
Perhaps an option might be to think about a less risky sector (such as pharma).
It`s less risk vs. less reward but better than losing the lot and we all know what the 2 rules of investing are...

Yep but "true value" like a good heart is hard to find! The drop from the year high is 80%. If you take the year high and the year low the average is 60, the drop from that is 63.6% 200-day moving average corresponds. but that all changes if MA is 20-day where the SP is currently in or around. GL all.

A lot is down to belief. Some people use TA and some even use candlestick patterns.
Some think that is largely hokum: Warren Buffett is reported to have said about knowing TA didn`t work when he turned the chart upside down and got the same results or something like that anyway. (And who would dare argue with WB lol.)
There are others who disagree of course and swear blind it works (to a degree at least, as an indicator). I go by the academic research not books on the subject as the authors are biased - they want to sell their books after all!
I suggest you start with the fundamentals before you move on to TA if you choose to go there. As I said it is much about belief as anything else, an act of faith if you will and at the end of the day if a "system" worked, would you publish it?? I wouldn't lol. I`m of the belief all knowledge is valuable even if only to accord some as having less weight in terms of value, than other knowledge. It is a matter of judgment and taste there is no right or wrong. Agree with previous posters. If using HL, transactions costs will be £23.90 (1 x buy and 1 x sell) & stamp on a £100 stake would be 50p so call it £24.00 on top of your £100. Say you buy PMO at 25p = 400 shares. The SP has to move up 24% (i.e. 6p) for you to sell all 400 at 31p and break even.
So-called "free" platforms are not really free. Like Sirius said they will ream you on the price so you pay over the odds when you buy and get shafted when you sell. With HL you know exactly what the cost is. With others - Freetrade, you don`t.

Doubtful there is a physical exchange of the product in the chain at this stage (be it coffee, sugar, soya beans or in this case oil, it`s God knows where ...might be on board on a ship for all I know). The payment obligation will be enforceable provided the underlying product actually exists. If it doesn`t (fraud for example) that is a different matter. If market conditions have changed (as they have here) caveat emptor, buyer beware. Buyer`s risk.

Report in the WSJ this morning indicates infection rate has been exaggerated by up to a factor of 50 - 85 times following a study by Stanford University.
If that is correct, some will be left with red-faces as the fatality rate is closer to seasonal flu.
