The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I thought the RI might be a back up plan that might not be used but an article on Reuters seems to say that it will be done asap after approval on the 9th. Have a quick read if interested. Not currently holding - would it be sensible (bearing in mind my timetable to sell would be 'as long as it takes' to get maximum profit; ie years) to buy prior 9th with 65% of funds and then 35% to fund allocation ? or, wait for dust to settle, RI wise ? I have seen many RIs but never taken part or wanted to but I think IAG is a special case and will be, ultimately, very rewarding with any risk/reward ratio heavily biased towards reward.
Always interesting reading your posts Portland, so thanks for the various insights. My first thought was the same as your first line; selling even more paintings and also some silver cutlery we found, type of thing. After the Dow bounce and with Fang rising post market/results - in some minds seemingly vindicating their crazy valuations - I think the Dow, and ergo Footsie, will be very buoyant tomorrow. My silly guess: 196.8 at close tomorrow having failed to hold at just over £2.
Leeds White Rose - 26 booked in for unhinged 8pm (fyi). Cheers.
I hear there is a bijou independent one there lol. Hi mate crazy day eh? Who needs Alton Towers. Highest volume in 5 years.
Go through the booking procedure until payment - then abandon.
I saw it on tv recently, just posted for indication. Also they are very tight up here.....early days though.
49 booked in for Interstellar @ 7.20 pm Sheffield.
Highest volume for 5 years today it looks like.......felt like it too.
Cineworld.
It was when I checked and posted it I am sure - have never knowingly posted wrong info.
up - sorry.
AMC pre market are 7.24%.
A few weeks ago it was circa 10,000 trades daily, everyday with volume about 20 million.
Today should easily be the highest actual volume for a year - I always thought that would happen on a huge rise day, not the reverse.
Cheers RS. Agreed.
out someone - thanks.
My conclusion would be that the USA have a better grasp of forward prospects and our market is more corrupt and manipulated. Anyways, you pay your money and take your choice.
No doubt in my mind mate - what worked before will work again - thats why it worked.
Bedtime for me; last time I posted after midnight Mooky refused to honour our time and a half window. NIght all.
And read 'Variety' - more detail. One deal from one studio and USA only. Small budget only. Univ and AMC making friends after a spat and saving face. No real life impact I would say - bottom line will still be king and bums on cinema seats are the best% for studios.
M00La - this is no time to skive off with the family - plenty of time to chill when we are over a quid again. Get back in the trenches mate ffs lol.
