If we could avoid a placing, the SP will start to move in the right direction. Ideally, i'd like to see:

A milestone for CHK1
A low upfront licence for Aurora
A low upfront for TYK2 cancer
Use the income from the above to develop TYK2 autoimmune. This is where the big money will come from.

I did think the last placing was the last placing. I will take this one though. Might buy a few more to compensate. I think next month will be a roller-coaster. We've got SRRA update to look forward to as well as all the TYK2 stuff. Is it too much to ask for some movement on Aurora? Wouldn't want to be out of this at the weekend.

Not positive., tongue in cheek answer to Searles post. The next price sensitive news I'm expecting is a placing. If it's a a deal then whoopee, but at least I won't be ****ed off when the placing comes. For what it's worth, I think the timing is significant. But is it for a good reason or a bad one.

Might be something significant in the timing but the results themselves will just be audited accounts and headlines of achievements.

Great post by searle. The big problem here is everyone is expecting this massive imminent rerate so when we get news, that actually is good news but not the deal, the news is seen as lacklustre. AIM is fickle, there are plenty of rainbows to chase and traders will do what they think is best. The best way to not be disappointed is to read the RNS's and take anything you read on here with a pinch of salt. Tim has always been clear on strategy and timescales. We just have to trust him. A deal could drop anytime but we could also be waiting until 2020 or more until we cash out. It's your choice to wait it out or to sell up don't base the decision on what you read here.

You could be right Thoth. For me, the tweets mean we aren't in advanced negotiation but they are showing a certain amount of confidence. But confidence in what? I suspect we'll know in the next month or so.

I wouldn't get hung up on the 'update'. The October update will just be the official details of what we already know. These updates are never used to deliver news. The next major news we'll get is a deal or more likely IMO, a placing. My only caveat to this is, we may get the notification the American patent being granted for TYK2.

Yes, it's all good. Especially the stuff coming out of TYK2 selection. We do still have the threat of a placing hanging over us though. At least we know we'll get some news before November.

I dont really buy into this imminent deal for TYK2 but I will humour it just to join in. My thoughts are: Any deal would be based on worldwide patents secured - we need to wait for that news to drop first unless they buy SKIL as below Any deal, as I think Thoth stated, would have to include the SKIL platform otherwise someone could come in and buy the building block patent from under them? but the if this is the case. What happens to TYK2 cancer? as this is covered by the same building blocks.

When PYC spiked they had less than 60 million shares in issue and were only worth a couple of million. Completely different scenario. SARs MC would have to be approx 1 billion to do the same. It won't happen unless the deal is worth 1 billion.

This is exactly what I believe is happening too. If we want the true value of our TYK2 compound we have to be willing to go it alone. Take it into P1 ourselves. IMO we could get 200 millions now but we'd get 4 times that after a successful p1. I think it's worth the wait.

if the market felt that GSK were seriously interested the SP would be multiples of what it is today. The catalyst for any confirmed interest will be when the patent is granted, IMO.

I'm with Searle on this. The Twitter thing is an answer to all the negative talk about a lacK of communication on here. They told us what the plan is in the last RNS. Why do we think the exact opposite is happening? It's a sure fire way to be ****ed off when it doesn't happen.

The old adage "buy on rumour, sell on news" rings true on AIM. Take out your initial stake and let the free ones ride. You might never multi bag but you'll have less risk of losses. Having said that. With the maiden JORC and an off take aggreemt the SP should have easily held its price. This is the second time I've become a LTH of KOD but my last experience tells me that with a bit of averaging down, I'll get my money back. Possibly by Xmas.

It's all relative tel. Trouble is, most on aim want to put a £1000 in and get £5000 back in a few days. It very rarely works out that way. You need patience, a lot of luck and to take profit, any profit, when you see it. Most don't set out to be a long term holder. You just become one when you've made a loss and you can't sell.

and for 28p we'd need £800 million cash in the bank not the potential for £800 million.

Good news is there has been plenty of similar deals of that size so a precedent has been set.
