Don't post here much but absolutely, RayG. The bottom has been tested. The potential to multi-bag from here is very very good. Not so good from 0.3 for obvious reasons. I got a bit stung on the release of the JORC but have managed to average down. The main risk to a rise from here is other who were stung on the JORC release. I'm here until 0.5 at least though.

I struggled to sell back in 2011. I saw the biggest profit i'd ever had dwindle to a decent 3 bagger. I've learnt a lot since then but I was trying to sell for what seemed like hours.

I only ask and really, its hypothetical but if we did get $500 million upfront then most of that would just sit in the bank. Yes the SP would rise but not necessarily in line with the amount of cash in the bank. What more do SAR have to develop, do Tim and John want to carry on etc.. I'm not sure the company as it is currently structured would work. We'd need to transition from a small cap that needs constant funding to some sort of vehicle to move profits to the investors. I never stick around long enough to worry about this sort of stuff. Ha ha

I have a question for the more experienced here. If we did get a big upfront lumpsum. Would that figure be revenue\profit and as such, would it be paid out as divi's? I don't recall ever being in a share where this happened.

Searle - that's an interesting timeline you (and your friend) have there and one which differs from a lot of views on here. There are quite a few who think a TYK2 deal is imminent Your view is broadly in line with what I think but I hope you and I are wrong, ha ha.

I've always thought that 2020 will be our year but I think we'll get some sort of funding deal on TYK2 (grants, an II coming on board etc..). I disagree with your takeout valuation though. If all is going well in 2020, I think we'll be looking for upwards of a billion to take us out. Patience is still key but I'd love a milestone for Christmas.

They'd have to buy every day for a few weeks to pass the threshold with these size trades. It does look like an accumulation though. As in all AIM stock. If I was watching SAR the placing lwould have been a trigger to buy for me.

I'm with Searle here. This placing was inevitable regardless of the price. Now its done we can move on. Everything that's been said over the last few weeks/months is probably still true. Our cash position is much stronger now. I'm confident this was the last placing we'll ever go through. Think of it as a poker game. We've been dealt a royal flush but we're down to a last tenner but a mate has just lent you a couple of hundred. We've now got enough cash to build and take the pot.

Only, the longer the SP holds up, the more desperate your posts get. Just saying.

Cold fish. Yes. TYK2 has potential but as yet, it hasn't been proved. The RNS says they will use this money to strengthen the evidence. I've been banging in about this for weeks, if not months. There are loads here that were expecting a deal worth 100s of millions and I don't know why. I was expecting this placing. It a here now, great. Next step. Only way is up now.

Think you are mixing up what the company says and what you read on here.

The doom merchants will come out today. But this placing was always going to happen. Think it was only Wednesday when I last said it. The fact is, we can't negotiate without some cash in the bank. Our position is too weak. This is good news IMO.

This bit of the RNS, below says to me at least. That weve had some offers but they weren't optimal. This placing is us saying we'll go it alone if we have to. These new funds, added to our current cash, will enable us to advance these studies and build up the evidence required to facilitate a licensing agreement at an optimal value."

If you took a placing out of the equation. Todays SP is fair, if a little low, considering CHK1 development alone. TYK2 is still a massive unknown. and yes, there are lots of dreamers here. I reckon there are no buyers because the market thinks the next RNS will be a placing. Simple as that. I've got over £20k invested here and that makes me nervous. I'm in profit but that's almost half my ISA. I'm that sceptical about the imminent future that when my father in law was talking about having £30k to invest recently, I kept my mouth shut, ha ha. Told him to wait until after Brexit. he's getting 3% on it with very little risk while he waits.
