Interesting, I think there’s a place for this kind of test at immigration, events etc where an instant result in important due to the throughput of people. You need a balance of all:

Wastewater monitoring for surveillance, at home LFDs for mass screening, breathalyser for mass gatherings/high throughput of people and the gold standard for hospitals.

If Awacta are involved in Skin’s rumoured breathalyser innovation then we’ve got all 4 covered.

Amarillo, I believe you should post articles if they’ll relevant, regardless of a jittery reaction. Personally I’d prefer to be fully informed to make a balanced decision rather than participate in an echo chamber. I thought the BBI post was relevant as they’re our lead manufacturer. Personally I have no issue with BBI recruiting under whatever guise. It doesn't matter, they'll produce the volumes they contracted for and there'll be more partners to come. Don't forget they're global. A tiny bit of capacity going to the consortium in the UK isn't going to impact the volumes we'll receive

The volumes suggested for antibody tests were tiny, they said 100k initially. Sir Al has said they’ll be producing millions for us. How’s about a theory that they can’t reference ramping up for antigen tests as they haven’t received any orders yet? They might have had a very firm nod and wink though.

It’s utterly insane, never mind incredible. We can’t, but imagine if we could meet demand... 1Bn per week, so about £2.5Bn pure cash / £10 on the share price per week :-D

Well, the minimum Awacta are aiming for is 90% sensitivity and 95% specificity, so that’ll help...

The suggested test numbers are increasing. Looks like Handjob’s moonshot is giving other countries ideas. We’d previously heard 30m tests per week in the US, 25m of them being antigen. This article suggests up to 150m per day. That’s over a billion a week. It’s getting slightly silly.... they’re already facing reagent shortages. There’s nowhere near that manufacturing capacity.

We’d best give Dyson a ring, ask him to repurpose those ventilators he wasted his time on. Meanwhile we can produce enough affimers.

Never mentioned or recommended anything. That’d be skindalous behaviour. If anyone is putting their money in to anything based on a BB post, then it certainly wouldn’t be my doing. Always do your own research kids. Certainly always be wary of popular people that ramp stocks whilst they’re selling.

But now that you’ve mentioned them, they collaborating with Awacta. They’re developing a novel sensor to detect Covid that could be used in wastewater monitoring. Prototype news is due soon. Transformational stuff if it works. Similar to Awacta, that’s not even their day job. You’re correct to say their revenues are tiny, but they’re increasing exponentially, they’re expecting 4m in 2020, who knows how high they could be if they’re successful with the Covid monitoring and their Mcap is currently less than 50m.

If I was in charge of this, and I should be obviously, I’d get the wastewater monitoring in place ASAP. Whilst waiting, I’d give Awacta a huge contract to enable a national mass screening programme. I wouldn’t involve Deloitte. I’d keep it in place throughout the winter months for obvious reasons. Next spring, after accepting my OBE, I’d scale it back to testing hot spots based on the monitoring in place. By summer, in combination with proper testing of arrivals, it’d be eradicated. I’ll have a great day out with Alistair Smith when we both get knighted. Naturally, as I’m working for the government, I’ll be immorally invested in both companies, Awacta and Skin, and this scandal will be broken by the Sunday Times. I’ll have my knighthood taken back and end up in ruins, but what a ride.

Deloitte are involved purely to rip off the tax payer. They serve no purpose. They’ll be entirely incompetent and charge ridiculous sums and ultimately fail at whatever role they’ve been assigned. Having had all the big wigs in flashy suits at the initial meetings, they’ll then send out a bunch of clueless spotty teenagers at the same daily rates. Not that I’ve worked with them several times in different organisations during my career...

Why not eliminate it through testing? NZ did the first time. If you properly isolate those infected it becomes increasingly easy to track, and in combo with wastewater monitoring you can always deploy more testing in hotspots.

No one believes in immunity and that’s when Covid parties will definitely start, so a Covid passport will never exist. A negative antigen test one day means nothing the next. The only need for an app currently would be for centralised reporting and monitoring.
