Apologies, it was probably me that set Myluck off with his dumbass thread about Big Al's house with my attempt at humour earlier. Lets firstly change the thread, as I have here. Secondly, if ever anyone wanted proof that people such as him on BBs seek to undermine people's insecurities then this, for me, was it. I crack a flippant joke on here about Estate Agents and he immediately thinks that that suggests I'm in some way remotely worried. He therefore starts a silly little thread on the basis of his amateur psychiatry and my supposed mental weakness. Rest assured, Myluck, my investment decisions don't work on the basis of pathetic little specimens like you and be equally assured that I have every confidence that the forthcoming data results will silence you in a resounding fashion. Now, get dressed and p*** off to school! That was a fascinating insight for me.

I shouldn't, I know, but I feel nostalgic: To think that our biggest worry at AGMs in years gone by was if we spotted any Estate Agents lurking in the shadows. A different time for us and Big Al, I know ;-)

I was therefore overly optimistic where the follow-up parliamentary timeline is concerned and not having taken into account the summer break. Thank you for the additional considerations.

The key sentence in the quote from below (Telegraph) is the last one, "The UK’s offshore sector includes many independent companies who spend years planning investments that can be very risky,” she said.

JOG and similar companies do not carry that "risk" because their resources are a known quantity which makes them attractive to tax-saving partners.

Last night Deirdre Michie, the chief executive of Offshore Energies UK, warned that without investment, some 80 per cent of the UK’s gas and 70 per cent of the country’s oil supplies will need to be sourced from abroad.

“The windfall tax may not affect projects already under way – but is likely to deter investments under consideration for which funds have yet to be committed. The UK’s offshore sector includes many independent companies who spend years planning investments that can be very risky,” she said.

Some will be spooked by big companies (Equinor) pulling drilling projects in protest at the windfall tax and requesting potential changes to the legislation for it before it is passed or otherwise in July - and JOG is therefore likely to drift in the short term. However, there is no change to the fundamentals where JOG is concerned. We also remain in a stronger position for FO in the short to medium, something that was strongly on the cards well before windfall tax was even mentioned. Expect news anytime after the legislation goes through (this month)n- or otherwise - as I suspect that is what they and potential partners are waiting for. That is my understanding but I welcome any corrections or more insightful replies.

Spot on! It's always been that way on here and TW did exactly the same thing last time, creating false expectations through creating false deadlines and sowing doubt within the weak minded. As was said below, that's TW's bag and he has to make his living - but only the idiots fall for it. If you place the words of derampers above those we've seen and heard from the company to date then you might want to rethink your conviction levels in relation to your original reason for investing here. Was it because you saw a money-for-nothing get-rich-quick opportunity or because you've properly researched and believe in the potential?

Runner-Runner, I'm not sure that "rapists" would view "traffic wardens" as doing a job for them :-)

Interesting how some on here who make out they are invested and have our interests at heart seem to post solely through dropping in continuous mentions of TW and shorters. No names but just keep an eye out for suchlike.

I don't know why some on here seem to expect a running commentary on the trials when AS categorically stated they cannot do that from an ethical perspective. Keep the faith.
