RE: CORRECTED market sentiment.,25 Oct 2018 00:28
The question is not why the SP rose today, the question is why it dropped so much yesterday, and in fact the week before. So this big rise today brings us back to where we were one week ago. That's like saying "oops, that was an error, let's go back to where we were then everything will be just fine again".
But everyone is not back to where they were a week ago, because many private investors will have lost a substantial amount by taking fright and selling out, probably near to the bottom, while others will have had their stop-losses triggered. I have no doubt that some individuals will now have reduced trust in the company, and certainly the AIM market won't have gained any admirers over this.
There has to be a reason for this sort of event, and the movements are much greater than anything that could be explained by negative or positive statements on this BB or any other BB. Nor by market sentiment generally. This sort of fluctuation is not without consequence, and the company and/or the regulator should really be trying to get to the bottom of it.
But I very much doubt if anyone will bother.
