Actually I think we are waiting on planning and permissions, because he is unlikely to get any kind of commitment on funding from anywhere until those issues are settled. Plus a signed lease for the site. And the other thing that I reckon he needs is a committed PPA for the supply of the electricity.

Now, armed with all of those things, together with the verification which he already has, in my view he would be in a good solid position to go looking for funding.

My understanding is that W2T is PHE's marketing arm or agent, but obviously KA is very much involved in marketing himself, and he will be talking to any prospective customers that W2T introduces, or anyone else for that matter. So I would suggest that any interested party should contact KA in the first instance.

The thing that interested me in the statement "with each site [seven sites] comprising different specific waste streams" was that this indicated that, although they will be sticking with tyre crumb and plastics initially, they will be using other feedstock materials with subsequent installations.

Of course research and collection of data will not stop with the prototype at Thornton Park but will always be an on-going process. PHE doesn't necessarily have to own the entire unit to carry out such data collection as I suspect they will always have an agreement with the owners (i.e. the SPV) to have the right to carry out such research and data collection.

I thought these two statements rather interesting:

It may be very naughty of me, but I found this rather amusing. I was actually told about this a year ago by the dealer when I bought my non-plugin RAV4. So all that govt. subsidies wasted, and all those heavy batteries being carried around with no gain, just less mpg. Shouldn't laugh, though.

The first unit will be for the generation of electricity only and is unlikely to be upgraded to hydrogen. That will be for subsequent units.

Regarding financing for the first unit, I thought they were hoping to be able to run that into a JV of some kind, and if so then PHE would presumably have a share in that JV, providing they could get funds from somewhere. Quite honestly, I wouldn't mind if they asked the good old shareholders for funds to build and own the first unit because once that is done, and assuming it proves that the process does what it is supposed to do, then there should be no difficulty in getting funds for subsequent units.

Providing the placing is handled properly, and current shareholders are given the opportunity to take part, I personally believe that that would be a good move. And if they are going to do that, they need to so it sooner rather than later.

But others may disagree.

Gitfinger: I think I'm right in saying that what you are suggesting is precisely what ITM are doing, using renewable electricity to produce hydrogen by electrolysis at service stations to fuel hydrogen-electric cars. However, I have no idea how economical their project might be, and I have a feeling that they may be subsidised at they moment by companies such as Shell and/or Toyota, but I might be wrong on that.

I wonder if they will even try to find another Nomad, or just let it laps and eventually become delisted.

Stokey, I was actually referring to documentation issued by Peel rather than official planning applications.

Stokey, I expect that the planning application will be under the name of Peel Environmental because, if I'm right, it will be on their site, Protos. Note that the application for the biomas waste to energy incinerator is not in Coventa's name.

Thanks for the confirmation LedZep. I believe that PHE's site is also on Peel Environmental's Protos Park, but I'm not sure exactly where.

Re ATC, yes I'm involved there, hoping for relisting early next year.
