It's been very quiet on this board, but all that is about to change methinks, with final results and, more importantly, a hopefully bullish trading update due in the next week or two.

To be fair to JW, it sounds like the sort of contract that is difficult to quantify, except perhaps to say "the sky's the limit".

But I wouldn't expect JW to say anything like that - it would be tempting fate.

Meanwhile, as an LTH, the RNS is enough to keep me on board.

Surely if they get a significant contract win, they'd have no choice but to announce it straightaway. They could hardly wait 6 weeks and then issue an RNS saying "A few weeks ago we had a significant contract win....". So I'm with kbyk on this one.

TBH, I wouldn't expect the BOD to reveal any concern publicly - and even less so if they know from their position as insiders that the SP bears no relation to reality, and should recover in the fullness of time.

Meanwhile, this share is so volatile, it can be moved by a merest twitch of the chairman's eyebrow. So I'll certainly be watching the AGM video with added interest when it's put up on the TRAK website.

Statement today doesn't change my long term view, so I see this as a buying opportunity, and have just picked up 5k at 60.75.

Shares seem to have settled at 12% down, after the initial overreaction of 24%. The 4 Sep update should be interesting.

SP drop seems like the usual overreaction. Sure there'll be an uncomfortable hit to profits for FY18, but this should be largely recouped in FY19 when deliveries are resumed, so it's essentially just timing. Could be a good time to top up therefore.

SP appears to be responding at last (50k buy at 10.7p).

If what the brokers say comes to pass, we'll definitely see 20p again. I certainly won't be selling.

Does anyone else know about this "long term contract" between Gatemore and DX?

Would be nice if the SFO cloud were lifted from this share. We're already six months down the line, so I imagine the company already have a good idea of the likely outcome.

Concrete, what is the "long term contract" that you say Gatemore have?

The main obstacle to a sale would be Gatemore, now 36% shareholders. However, since their initial investment at £1 odd, they've heavily averaged down, and without doing a detailed calculation, I reckon the carrying value in their books can't be too far above the current share price. So they may well be amenable to an offer of 20 - 30p.

A nice surprise to get a trading update so soon after the year end, so a definite improvement there.

It's still early days, but it's looking very promising on the trading front too ("new business at DX Freight continues to gather momentum"), and enough to take the shares to a new level IMO.

Blondeamon, I bow to your superior knowledge. By "dull" I meant that the half year results will be flat, which seems to be putting off those who cannot see the potential, hence the current SP weakness.

I note that the flat results will be despite exiting Contract Manufacturing, which implies that the results will be propped up by an improving Solutions performance, and it's this that bodes well for the future, surely.

If I weren't already heavily invested, with the SP dipping below 80p, I'd certainly be buying now.

I'd be surprised if the SP went much lower, but I sure hope there are some juicy RNSs in the offing, otherwise with the prospect of a very dull half year report in October, the SP will be going nowhere fast.
