I'm no expert on II's, but my impression is that not all II's are equal.
Aberforth sold, according to the RNS, for "discretionary clients", ie individuals for whom they manage their wealth. So sales by Aberforth are in effect nothing more than sales by a bunch of PI's.
On the other hand, the purchase by Standard was not stated to be for anyone other than itself.
On that basis, the Standard purchase is surely more significant than the Aberforth sales.
And yet, the Aberforth sales are in the newsfeed (Alliance), while the Standard purchase isn't.
