Good day for PIs after very quiet spell - only 3 small Sells at 12.66 and some nice topping up all round on a wide spread. Think we will settle at 13-15p for a while until worst of the virus lockdown is over. As previously stated, enforced patience has become a virtue to give some time for investment appetite to return.

scotty - sure that's right, and these lumpy off-market trades seem to have little effect on current SP and spreads. Twill be interesting to see on a TRI who has bought and sold.

I am with Phippsy and Trellis on this one, and we have to cut the BOD a little slack when they are basically showing confidence in the long term prospects of IOG rather than taking cash or salary payments. Seems like a good thing that we have a long term target for well into next year giving the economy chance to recover and the taste for investment to return - as well as the depressed prices of oil and our main product gas.

Nice show of confidence from the BOD with Hockey, Newall and Co. enlarging their holding - especially Newall with nearly 4m.
At 11.87p per share - that is no surprise!!

GoldAnOil - that's what I was calling for when we were sub-10p to Buy a few days ago. Takes a combination of company knowledge/ funds/ and balls - but we do know that this level will be a distant memory once we get clear of this ghastly mess.

gator - with all the valid points that you make and the solid position of this company, those who find negatives will feel the same way about the entire market. The current trading pattern has been very low key and low volume, with Buys slightly outnumbering Sells - but we have been pegged down progressively in tune with the rest of the market in this time of crisis. Hence my point about a huge buying opportunity if funds were available (if only!) - and this is reflected by a number of financial gurus in the media, most of them advising to pick carefully and patiently wait for the inevitable rebound. I would say that most of us LTHs would never consider selling at these levels, so it is a question of maintaining our confidence in the IOG project and toughing it out - all IMHO.

All those with recently polished crystal balls - any ideas on the bottom line here in ball-park figures? Just so that we can beg/steal/borrow to get back in at these never-to-be-repeated rates?

Butd - in total agreement with your stance and full marks for holding the line in this crazy market. Guess we have the arabs to blame for this latest drama - ignoring the reduced global demand for oil and continuing with full-on production. Oh for some spare finance at these rates as you will not find a more solidly based and fully financed O & G company on AIM. MMs not playing games at this time, just following the trend - and at least good to see that there is minimal selling at these prices.

Agree with all that butd, and found myself hoping that as a fellow LTH you had perhaps sold then bought back at the 13p marker which was around for a short while on Friday? Got my timing wrong over the week but scrambled back in at a slight advantage on share numbers, which I am happy to do. Agree on the re-consideration point ref: f.o.c. shares for BOD members - but can't see it happening somehow.

Your reference please?? MMs marked this down a ridiculous chunk before trading began, so we become a target for day traders and speculators. IOG is the same company as it was 2 weeks ago - just a little closer to production dates - and now priced at a 30% discount! We know the over-riding factor spooking the entire market - but this is a classic panic scenario. Strange thing is my broker will not quote me a Buy price for very small trades!

Just a quick rant about the normal treatment for poor old PIs just received from HL! Asked for very small Sell trade early doors for some running around money - no live quote of course, which is disgraceful when you see whacking great trades of 350k 200k and 100k go sailing through in late business yesterday!! I know that we are influenced at present by the virus going viral, but it sums up trading on AIM once again.

A further 1.1 mil of the lumpy off-market type of trades enacted today, but no effect on the sp. Guess its more of the Lombard acquisition programme - we shall know soon with an RNS no doubt. Suppose that we should be grateful to be unaffected by today's dramatic fall in the main markets?

gator - think you may have answered your own question there! Seems perverse to me how these lumpy trades can be recorded off market at bargain rates and we PIs have to take our chance at normal market prices. I remember our posting pal butd referencing some kind of benefit to MMs when these trades are concluded - and would not be surprised if the late substantial recorded buys are credited to the same quarter? Manipulation is a worry, but the current rates are very enticing on all the known evidence.

gator - there is nothing fanciful in all your points, just 100% factual with a sensible interpretation, so I am also scratching my head. When the response to the question is "Oh, thats AIM for you" - I can't have that one either as this company, unlike so many others on the same market is thoroughly funded and de-risked. A few skirmishes to come maybe - such as the eventual disposal of a very large tranche of LOG shares in controlled order and another indication that the administrator is taking a forward view on a substantially higher share price. Hockey's presentation said it all without hype or wishful thinking, and the effect on the sp was precisely zilch! Answers on a postcard please, and they need to be good ones!

gator - right again in my book. And bills, since you have been here longer than Methuselah, do you recall expectations being £1 plus in the bad old days? And that was before we were fully funded with a credible work plan and core strategy with reachable targets. And if "somethings afoot" with LO interest, with their track record it can only be that they sniff a sizeable profit in a very low risk investment. So - current expectations are realistically low surely??

A very comprehensive and positive presentation by Hockey at the O & G conference, highlighting all the relevant points and the advancements since his presentation last September. Also highlighted some of the additional opportunities in areas adjacent to existing wells but declaring that main focus is on all the work to produce first gas in Summer 2021. Income stream starts to peak in the following 3/4 years. Looks like further off-market trading today at bargain rates, accompanied by some solid Buys at 18.25 so cannot understand the peg back in the Bid?

Will get the view of this online, but without further repetition of the facts we all know, I agree with all of Alligator's points and reading of the current scenario. Good time to top up at these rates if you are a believer, and currently buys at 18.20 will register as red on the split.

Think that whatever LO are planning to do they will find CalE/BH an immovable force at the core of this company. If there is some sort of contest we know the winner - and the beneficial effect it would have on SP for PIs.
