Thanks for this Nettles. A good read. Quick question. You mention Michael Burry often deletes his tweets... is this when he gets it wrong?

I keep thinking "now's the time to top up" but it just keeps going lower. The underlying factors which led to the SP growth are still relevant..... Should recover well. Shouldn't it????

Whilst I realise nothing has been officially announced..... Would it be safe to assume that the markets will have already factored in a reasonably substantial SMR contract award in the current SP?

Solid company with trusted products in a market with very high barriers to entry - what's not to like? Add to this the possibilities within the SMR market, and factors such as dividends and better credit ratings and you fail to see anything but an upward trend - something spectacular such as a "covid part 2" could screw things up - but generally speaking I see Royces as a solid company with a bright future - Who knows they may even get to £7....

I tend to agree with Ldakmail. I struggle to see how compound interest works with shares as they have the ability to go up and down. You may be "compounding" your interest in a share for a year and see major increases in the SP but the next day you "could" lose it all if the SP nosedives - a very different scenario to accruing regular interest in a bank which compounds your innitial investment and creates "the eigth wonder of the world". Having said all of the above I notice Warren Buffet has plenty to say regarding the power of compound interest and I struggle to see him putting his money in the bank and watching it grow slowly over 20 years....

Thanks for the suggestion NTC, I'm investing my winnings from RBG (thanks for that one too...) and having a flutter on HE1... it appears from what I can gather we need to keep our fingers crossed with regards to a "spud" date tomorrow and hope they have engaged some engineers to operate their "rig". I must say I feel like I'm flying into the unknown however the general chatter on the HE1 site seems pretty upbeat....
