The Selsa Iowa poll shows an 11 point swing to Dems. Trump is going to get annihilated at the election. Bare in mind Iowa isn't a swing state and the selsa poll shows Dems leading by 2 points. Before anyone disparage Selsa they were virtually the only polling company who predicted a trump victory in 2016 (they also predicted the 2020 election correctly). There's a massive uptick of female Dem voters. Trump will contest the result (the only reason he's running is to stay out of jail). If Iowa is correct (which people in the know say it is) it's going to be an incredibly bad night for Republicans. Despite a massive uncontestable loss it won't be pretty for weeks.... markets might like the massive win - trumps shenanigans "should" be easily dealt with (the Dems have been preparing for the almost inevitable legal challenges). Should be a great week for RR :-)

In all seriousness Shareflyer I appreciate your reassurance - it's good to know that not every bump in the road equates to an impending disaster of epic proportions which coud wipe our gains out in an instant - Sometimes it's just the market / noise / macro-economic issues / fear mongering over some spilt milk etc, etc.

The positives which still lie ahead are significant.

Did anything come from your last cryptic post A17? You stated in June there would be news coming out about the blades that could hit the SP - What's with all the cloak and Daggers? Have they been unable to solve the sand issue with the blades (I was under the impression they'd tweaked the coating which had solved the issue and were in the process of testing their tweak?). Surely if there was an issue with the blades (which according to you - if you're referring to the same issue - was identified in June) this would have leaked / been referenced by now? Posting semi-apopoclyptic messages without any real substance (after posting the very same message 4 months ago) makes people wonder whether you're just attention seeking rather than the purveyor of facts....

RR have interest from the Netherlands, Sweden and Poland (as far as I am aware) - The Czech republic have already gone with RR - you would think RR have got a good chance of getting 1 or 2 (who knows maybe all 3??) of these European deals - We are led to believe RR's product is pretty good - with 60+ years experience of building reasonably small reactors for Subs you'd think their technical expertise was on point. Whilst yet another delay with the UK may be annoying, it isn't the end of the world - Tufan has warned the UK Government on numerous occaisions theyy need to get their act together - When they do eventually make their decision and choose RR I hope they aren't too shocked to find themselves at the back of the queue facing rather long lead times.....

Badland FFS take a chill pill. I had a little incident last week when I was on holiday and I checked the price as I was wandering up a mountain in Croatia and it said it had dropped 10% - I did panic at the time as I was thiking WTF had happened (WW3 / Covid 2 / Massive engine issue) - turned out it was a gremlin in the website.... Going down 1 / 2 % is just (as Svend would say) "noise" - the overall trajectory is still up - there will be bumps on the way but FFS keep the faith and don't react to every minor hiccup - just think of the £7 (or £8) come Feb :-)

I'm still feeling the £7 come Feb 2025 - I actually think it could end up considerably higher with a fair wind and a few cheeky SMR deals.... Divi's firmed up, SMR, fantastic profits / margins / minimal debt and who knows maybe an announcement regarding a partnership to take RR back into the narrow body market - with Boeings many issues now would be a very good time for Airbus and RR to team up and come up with a narrow body offering. Let's not forget Emirates.... The "time on the wing" issues have (as far as I'm aware) pretty much been ironed out - just getting the testing done to ensure there are no gremlins associated with the fix. Onwards and upwards. Nice to hear from you NTC :-)

My guess is they've been working on narrow body since Tufan walked through the door (if not before then). I'd actually be quite shocked if their engine design isn't at a very advanced stage by now. Airbus offered them a narrow body partnership just before Tufan took over and the RR engineers quoted a 10 year lead time to develop a suitable engine.... The Chief engineer who told me this said 10 years was ridiculous (he'd helped develop an engine in 3 or 4 years) - I'm guessing Airbus will come up with another partnership deal - The way Boeing is screwing things up they'd be daft not to......

Don't forget Sweden SMR.... and of course the UK.... and institutions flocking to RR when Divi is firmed up. The future is bright. Just back from holiday and I must admit I had a bit of a moment whilst away. I didn't check the price that often but the one time I did it was showing a drop of 10% (down to 499 ish) - thankfully i was an end of trading day Gremlin.... Gave me a bit of a shock though :-) - Careful what you say about narrow body - unless you explicitly state the long term nature of said potential you will get shot down for (supposedly) not realising that engine development takes years.... Just the announcement of a partnership agreement for Narrow body along with an expected launch date should give the SP a severe jump :-)

In the lead up to results day we have Nov 07th (5%)(which you'd assume is going to be positive), a possible UK SMR contract award (7%), a very possible SMR contract award from at least one of the European deals we have bids in for (Netherlands, Poland and Sweden) (6%). Results day itself should provide earth shatteringly good results (increased margins, better than expected profits, substantial debt reduction and possibly a firming up of what and when a divi will be paid??) (8%). On top off this you have a bull market which is driving things up 2% / month without any good news.... My flimsy maths gets us to £8 after results day....

It may be an age thing or I may just be being a bit thick but what is an LTSE contract?

Nov 7 ties in with NTC's prediction of SMR contract award from UK (I believe he said first / second week of November). Are we expecting much excitement from Nov 7th?? Or just the standard RR "better than expected" results? Any possibility they'll disappoint?

For what it's worth... here are my thoughts.

1) Israel will give Iran a slap but it won't escalate into a full blown conflict - Iran know they will get battered if it does. "if" they strike oil interests or nuclear sites it could cause disruption but I think Israel are savvy enough to not cause a nuclear spill...

2) I think Harris will win in a landslide. trump's team have their own polling companies which are putting out poll after poll suggestiing it's a lot closer than it is - they need to do this so that trump can claim the eelection was stolen / rigged when he loses. trump will attempt to barter a "no prison time" deal with Harris in return for calling his MAGA loons off. Harris won't accept this and there will be some disruption - However I seriously think Harris is going to beat trump handsomely. If the media reported trumps true state of mind (deranged) responsibly Harris would be ahead by 15 points - As it is the public are having to wotness for themselves just how far gone trump is (at his rally in Pensylvania he stayed on ttehh stage for 38 minutes swaying to the music???)

3) I can't factor in a trump victory - It's akin to a RR collapse - inconceivable. The only way trump wins is if Harris is assasinated a week before the election - AND EVEN THEN it would be close - as vast swathes of votes will have already been cast in early voting. Harris - whilst not to everyones tastes - is sane and offers a steady, progression. trump offers higher taxes, mass deportation (which is very appealing to his ardent followers) and crazy economic policy. trump will always get the 35 - 40% MAGA followers voting for him - but it won't be enough.

Just had a quick look at their figures.... They employ 550 people, have a market cap of $4.5Bn and had revenues of $11.8m in 2022 and $22.8m in 2023.... I suppose if they win some contracts they could be a punt but they seem to be burning cash with very little coming in.....

Looks like people are cottoning onto SMR and realising just how massive it could be.... and we still have divi's (even more buying from finacial institutions), great results, no debt, SMR orders and maybe a sneaky Emirates deal to come.... This share just keeps on giving. Who's going to tell NTC his £7 come Feb 2025 was ridiculously underweight.... :-)
