You only live once Achilles and when you reach a certain age and people start dropping like flies you realise life is 1) Not a dress rehearsal and 2) Very short. I'm in this for a while longer as I have retirement goals - I'm hoping RR will allow me to retire early and make the most of my remaining years - on my terms. People sell for many, many different reasons - Your somehwat repetitive "only a fool sells" comments are both unhelpful and ill thought out. If you want to to stick to the bitter end and be buried with your share certificates - good for you - I'd rather be enjoying my retirement as I splurge my way through my gains.

NTC has explained this before. I can't remember the reason but the bottom line is you can't trust google prices past the closing bell. LSE gets the price right (eventually) although you often need to wait until 5ish to be rock solid sure the lse price is the actual closing price.

I too have recently sold a few Cev... and am looking around. Will do some reserach on Alpha and Empire - RE: Easyjet - I had a quick look at the LSE board and the general mood is they are seriously undervalued at the moment and £700M profits are incoming in the November results?? looking at the long term SP it appears to be at quite a low point - Why is the SP struggling? and more importantly is the hope and optimism of the LSE board warranted??

£11 SP doesn't take into account the share dilution. Use Google finance or Yahoo Finance for an accurate representation of the price - unfortunately LSE doesn't take into account the share dilution in its charts.....

The only way this will end up mid 5's in Feb 2025 is if there are some major world events (recession / war / Covid part 2...) or if something comes out of the woodwork which rocks RR (major engine fault). No one can predict what will happen in the world - however assuming world events stay "constant" and nothing major occurs that just leaves us with the major engine fault scenario... This aint happening. "But what if the UK goes with another supplier for SMR?" - If the UK ignores all logic and opts for another supplier RR will fill its boots in Europe. "But what if Tufans turnaround stalls?" - Having worked at RR I can assure you there is massive capacity for improvement in productivity / profitability. Tufan will have been grabbing the low hanging fruit but has also implemented some major change programs which will deliver massive cost savings and increase profitability. Deciding to charge customers more was a brave move - however when you have the best product you can charge more and assure your customers it's worth it. Boeing's abject failure to own the narrow body market has presented Royce's with an easy re-entry point - I heard they were offered a re-entry just before Tufan took over but their engineers quoted a 10 year lead time for a new engine (which is absurd) - Tufan won't stand for that nonsense and has probably got a team working on a new engine / family of engines for the narrow body market as I type (with 2 years worth of work behind them). Anyone noticed how quickly the debt has been tackled? Debt will be gone sooner rather than later (Tufan comes from a bean counting background afterall). Mid fives by Feb 2025? Codswallop. Here endeth the sermon.

Still waiting for someone to really stick their neck out (and do the opposite of what tthe idiot at Berenberg did....). SMR / Narrow body / targets getting hit / debt being obliterated / some Massive orders coming through... Show some balls people!!

I'm starting to dread when 2.30pm arrives.... I'm long term so in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter but it's starting to get annoying.

For some institutional investors that would be the last tick box that needs to be filled in before they splurge some of their money on RR shares. Now that the dividend has (almost) been reinstated a stronger rating from moody's & co is the final piece of the puzzle - Not sure if they have to wait for the dividend to be formally approved at the AGM for it to tick the box (having thought about it that's probably the case as at the moment a dividend is "aspirational")

Buybacks, SMR's (not just in the UK), Narrow Body announcement, Tufan's results being hit (increased margins), zero debt being achieved, some massive orders. What's not to like???

Whilst https://poundf.co.uk/rolls-royce looks impressive do you know what it is actually based on? Has poundf got any sort of pedigree for getting its forecasts right? It looks like the RR poundf analyst has been following Nettles (681 by Feb 2025).... :-)

I was talking to someone who is currently at RR SMR and they suggested the project everyone is working on at the moment is for the Czech Republic (Czechia).

Bearing in mind the price targets are supposed to be where the various analysts expect to se the price in 12 months I'm still surprised at the lack of cohones shown. Whilst "some" SMR will be baked in, the actual announcement will still send the stocck 50 or 60p higher (and don't forget the UK order is just one of many Royce's is bidding for). You then have some massive orders coming through (Emirates have got to pull the trigger soon....), everyone is expecting some sort of movement into the narrow body market (especially on the back of Boeing's woeful year), buy backs may happen, Tufans targets being hit and debt wiped out.... 640 just seems a bit light to me for a "where will the SP be in 12 months time" guess. I realise I glean much of my info from a board populated by RR shareholders who are somewhat biased however even taking this into consideration the black and white facts suggest there is much, much more to come with regards to SP growth.

Someone stepped up and took on the dubious privilidge of recording people's guesses for the SP at COP today. Any chance of publishing people's guesses so we can see where we are all at? I'm guessing Svend will have nailed it and I'll be miles off if it's true to form.....

Let's hope this rises and rises. I hope Tufan has a steady trickle of good news he can deliver. Still so much to come. Re-rates, SMR, narrow body, Large engine orders.... Buy backs. With a fair wind, minimal worldwide disruption and an excellent skipper this share is sailing merrily towards the sevens :-)

So what you're saying Nettles is the person who Listened to the whole of tthe CMD and heard RR indicate that Dividends would come before buy backs was right??? And the halfwit who shouted and shouted and shouted about buybacks coming before Dividends was wrong??? Well I never, hit me with a wet fish when the halfwit appologises..... :-)

Lots and lots of good news to come. I got used to the SP rising day by day, week by week, month by month - however we've got to remember that such long and sustained rises are highly unusual. The way I see it is the SP is taking a breather and will be back on the march tomorrow - If it does shoot up tomorrow it will interesting to see if it's capable of sustaining the rise.
