They seem to have their eyes on two distinct new pits and potentially extending current ones. At some point though they will need to stop drilling and do the PEA etc. Given when they are talking about starting mining that point cant be that far off surely (im thinking 3 to 6 months).

It depends how you phrase the question Fort.

How much drilling is required for a PEA would be one answer (and would be 5 million USD worth). The second question - which is the more valid one - would be how much is TAM likely to expand and what is then required for that extended resource which will be a higher figure.

Im interested to see what the next funding agreement will be. I dont see how we get the 3rd tranche from Franco this year so will need to be something else. Lot of money going to be going out soon.

Im also looking forward to seeing the PFS. I think its clear they will use 2,644 USD for gold, 4.31 for copper and 29.94 for silver. That in conjunction with adding in TAM should make a big difference to the NPV of the project.

Yeah they also make reference to an open pit in a couple of places which surely can only be TAM?

When you read the Franco Contract I think its safe to assume that they were expecting TAM to be mined and accounted for that in the agreement.

By the way there is a big difference between Noboa and the last two hit by these protests... well 2.

1) he is doing far far far better in the polls than the other two were. I think one was like 10 to 15% Noboa is either approaching 50 or above it.

2) he has managed to split the CONAIE - which to be fair is politically impressive.

What will be interesting is in the CONAIE march on quito.

Yes Mirador opened in 2019. Before the protests started- so lucky them. The nearby San Carlos Panantza mine wasnt so lucky (owned by the same people as Mirador). Completely blocked since 2020 so they wrote a lot of CAPEX there.

Wonderful Rodney - now in the real world look what happened with the CONAIE and the government of Lasso (the chap before Noboa). Marches on Quito with his government eventually falling.

The protests in 2019 against Morena were marginally better.

If you think that Noboa is an asset for the company then these protests should be of interest to you.

The protests are apparently a multitude. Diesel is one, extractive industry, the referendum that Noboa is planning. .....

Not sure if Dan ended up visiting Ecuador as he suggested he was.... but if he did seems he didnt pick the best time. The protests in Imbabura are approx 100km from Cascabel.

Fort I would guess Barrick have enough on their plate in Ecuador with the framework they signed with ENAMI. Other two could well be possibilities though.
