Personally I couldnt really care who is in an advert - but saying that Liverpool is 99% non white is somewhat ridiculous.

Im from a village between Wigan and St Helens - so 30 mins drive from Liverpool. Liverpool University was my 5th choice on the UCAS form so yes I am pretty familiar with it as Ive been to the City many times. I also know that the Uni isnt in Toxteth - its to the south of it. Also the concept that Toxteth is 99% mixed race is stupid.

That being said Toxteth is not the City of Liverpool and is just one part of if. Its like saying because china town in Manchester has a lot of Chinese 99% of people in Manchester are Chinese. In Liverpool the population has to be over 80% white - unless its changed massively since I last went which was in August of this year.

When you said you went uni in Liverpool was that to be the janitor? Im struggling to believe a Russell Group uni would let someone in who is as thick as mince.

Can you link that Rodney - whilst some of the polling companies you mention arent authorised to do polling on the coming election I would be interested to see those figures you mention as its quite different to what Ive seen.

As an aside.

1) CIPA has nothing to do with the referendum other than its probably sensible not to announce it before for political reasons. This should (in my opinion) have a good chance of coming after the referendum - regardless of result.

2) the EIA probably isnt on the critical path at present - which is good.

3) we need the PEA for TAM - this is important. Separately based on my research they will need to do a few things to make it a PEA+ to allow the licensing to proceed with that.

4) could be starting with the Portals soon. Prob not on the critical path as of now but nice to have. Would also be good of they start the decline - i assume with the exception of the explosives license its the same licenses required.

The above are the things that have a chance of happening this year (thats not to say they will). Then of course possible news on financing and exploreco.

Ecuador last went through this process in 2007 / 2008. If you dont think its reasonable to assume that the process will take a similar amount of time on this occassion then you live that fantasy. Ill try and live in the real world.

Absolute nonsense. A referendum on setting up a constituent assembly allows for a new constitution to be drafted which then requires a referendum to be called to approve it. Until that is approved then the current one remains in force and if its breached then we will have a DPM scenario.

That aside the EIA probably isnt even on the critical path at present so it makes no odds anyway.

If the question on the constituent assembly passes it opens a process.... based on last time it happened

1) election for assembly delegates.

2) assembly drafts constitution (they had 6 months last time) with a 2 month extension possible.

3) referendum on the newly drafted constitution

Talking a year to 16 months.

Thats not what the link says. Solgold has far far more than 86k Hectares. Thats a mere 20 concessions out of 80 odd.

I have no idea what the HSE standards are in Ecuador but i dont believe anyone would accept a battery system for FLS on a mine. You might incorporate UPS's in the system but you want / need a fail safe.

No one would be crazy enough not to have standby diesel emergency generation when they have an underground mine. The FLS have to be operational at all times. You cannot risk having no power so you need it on site. What if the transmission lines go down as an example?

The company have also stated that emergency electricty will be provided by diesel generators with a capactiy of 18MW. That will be built first and used till the hydro plant is built (by whoever builds it).

They have signed an MoU with a group of companies who will provide electricity using Hydro and Solar. The company says there will be no CAPEX cost asspciated with this which is frankly stupid).

At the moment I would expect they are using a construction connection to the grid

MW is not peak load - if it was peak load they wouldnt be building 110 MW for Mirador when the peak is in the 80s.

As an aside to give you an example of a big energy user in the UK INEOS/INOVYN’s chlor-alkali facility in Runcorn used to use 1% of the UKs complete electricity production. Thats over a TW ( it was something like 3 TWh a year).

Solgolds energy use isnt 200 MW to 220 MW thats the MOU and thats not just for solgold. But lets say it is 200 MW - thats at any given time sp its well more than double which would mean you are talking over 5k acres of tropical forest to be demolished if they run it off solar only..... NOT HAPPENING.

They will use thermal if they cant get the run of the river hydro plant up and running in time.

It says MW that means its capacity. At any given time it has an electrical load of 83 or 87MW depending on which article you believe.

Lets take 83 MW. Assuming that load is constant that means it uses 1,992 MWh/ day. Multiply that by 365 and you get your yearly figure.
