I agree that the events of the past few days"haven't been great" and I am personally sitting on a big paper loss, at least compared to where we were at 39p. However I note that whenever there is a price correction like this many on this board lash out at bankers, hedge funds, market makers and the like as they look for someone to blame. The story is different when the price goes up. Then everyone basks in their prowess as an investor. This is a risky project. Always has been. We could all get wiped out. Personally I m hoping for a bid from one of the big boys. But whatever happens, in fact each of us only has one person to blame. I'll leave you to reflect individually on who that might be. In my own case I'm clear. It's me.

I’ve often thought that before production Sirius will get taken out by one of the big mining companies. The cash required is loose change (ish) as far as the likes of Glencore and BHP are concerned. Glencore already has agricultural interests and there’s synergy there. Maybe today’s events bring that just a bit closer. They can have my shares at 50p. Sorry.

Certainly not unheard of. Some years ago I was a director of a FTSE 250 company and when there was bad news we threw ALL the bad news in to clear the decks. A clean slate.

There really is some childish, petulant stuff surfacing today. Chill.

I fail to see why the company and CF are in any way "to blame" for the price drop today. Anyone who thinks this project is without risk and that there won't be bumps in the road is living in a dream world. If this were without risk then the SP would already be fully priced. Instead it's priced for risk and no amount of talking the price up is going to change that. The SP right now is roughly where it was in February.

I rarely look at this board now. My absence appears justified. It seems no longer to be about Sirius Minerals (remember that company?). Instead it has become yet another source of boll%%%s about Brexit. How about getting back on message?

Well If you see it as a hatchet job then fair play. The share price volatility would suggest that others do not. But if it’s a hatchet job then its impact will be short lived.

The balance comes from listening to every opinion even if you discount some of them. What’s wrong is to close your ears to any argument you don’t want to hear, I’ve invested on the stock market for over thirty five years and it’s always said you shouldn’t get emotionally attached to any share. Sadly I’m guilty as far as SXX is concerned. I just hope my conclusion after listening to the different arguments doesn’t prove to be something I regret.

This is now a FTSE250 company with 4.7 bn shares in issue many now held by institutions. It’s not the Wild West of AIM. Every time the price moves down there are those who see market manipulation behind it. But when it goes up that’s a different story of course. I’ve held SXX for at least seven years now and I’ve seen it all. I’m in a little deeper than I’m comfortable with at present but that’s risk for you. The fundamentals seem pretty sound to me but it’s only right that the other side of the argument should get an airing whether in the FT or elsewhere. Without that balanced argument we can’t make up our minds about whether we have a viable company or not. Concentrate on the fundamentals listen to arguments from both sides and make up your own minds. Don’t listen to one side of the argument. That’s a recipe for losing money. And no, I do not sense market manipulation.

It’s worth noting that SIPPs have the advantage over ISAs when handled right of being effectively free of inheritance tax. I don’t have the time that you have to explain how this is done but a quick Google will give you some background. You probably know that anyway but there may be those who don’t.
