I'm close to giving up here Chesh. The message boards for the big companies provide few insights in my experience. I stick to RNS for them. I'll go back to the chip shop now.

Not quite. I'm sure you will agree that attention to detail is sometimes important! I wasn't CEO (I was IT Director) and the company was bought by a FTSE 100 company (it was gobbled up by them, provided great shareholder value when it was gobbled up, and doesn't exist any more). For an explanation of how I manage my shares see previous post. I am going to do some work now!

I don't post on other forums, no. Almost all the other shares I own are FTSE100 & FTSE250 held for their dividends (together providing a good income) and tend to take care of themselves. The message boards for AZN, LLOY, GSK are pretty valueless to me. A few, including Sirius Minerals, Quadrise, Dev Clever Holdings, ECSC, Breedon and others are held speculatively but SXX is far and away my biggest speculative holding. But I really don't know why I am telling you this. Next news I will have to post print-outs of my HL Account to "prove my credentials". Take it or leave it. I really don't mind.

Chesh. Everyone I see on the board has "No Opinion" next to them (including you and me). And since you ask, the company did very well under the direction of the Board of which I was a member for five or so years, thanks, and was eventually bought by a then (and still current) FSTE100 company bringing excellent shareholder returns. My view of SXX is that it has great potential but that it is and always has been risky. I don't like the term "junk" (as others don't) but Fitch's "highly speculative" isn't far off the mark when it is compared to the alternatives that potential purchasers of the bonds have in front of them when deciding what to invest in. And I don't need to pore through a 64 page document to know that it is risky. This is quite enough

So all in all, I know what I'm invested in and I do not like ramping disguised as learning. I maybe don't have the absolute depth or breadth of knowledge that other posters on this board (purport to) have about SXX but I have around sixty different shares in my charge and because I am NOT retired I use my time carefully, especially at weekends, and do not jump to attention at the behest of others.

Hi Chesh. Since you (politely, I think?) ask I don't have an "agenda". Agenda sounds secretive and duplicitous. Briefly, I have been invested in SXX for eight or nine years. I have a chunky shareholding that represents maybe 6% of my investments. I am well-diversified. I hold no more SXX because I believe I could lose all my investment. I will be delighted if all goes well and glad I didn't invest more if it doesn't. I am a former FTSE250 director and I have several non-exec roles with risk management as a particular interest. I usually post on this board to try to add a bit of value but mainly to counter-balance the "overweight" ramping that goes on on this board. Enough?

Twice now you have ****ged me off. First, I have ulterior motives. Second, I haven't done my research. You are wrong in both cases. Perhaps I should have been clearer so here goes....."I do not have the inclination, over a weekend (or at any other time, actually), to have my agenda set by others. I have a life away from the message board". Is that clear enough?

It’s not how LTHs see it that matters. It’s how prospective lenders see it. Risk is top of their agenda. They may ignore meteor strikes but they don’t ignore construction risk, overruns, market price, viability of contractors and customers etc etc. These days Risk is king (or queen).
