Doubtless I am my mates will touch on Sirius as well as the other shares we hold before going on to talk bollock$. I don't need anyone's forgiveness except perhaps my wife's and certainly not yours. Well DGR1980 I hope your last sentence is correct. Personally I doubt it but, like I said, the emotional attachment is hard to sever so I am hanging in there as I have for the past seven or eight years. That's the only reason right now. There's enough of me that thinks it will do well to continue to take the risk. But investing IS risky and there are some on this board who don't seem to see that. As for percentages - it's not meaningless. Given that trading shares is risky (I hope no-one would refute that) it's about spread of risk. Whatever your age, if you had had all your eggs in the Debenhams or Carillion boxes then you certainly would be starting again now.

Sounds like we are similar. SXX is around 8% of my portfolio and I am not going any higher. I suspect (though obviously don't know) that there are posters here for whom SXX is 100% of their portfolio, attracted by the fact that this is a "racing certainty" with the £1 party just around the corner. Well it's not. There is an old saying in investing in shares and that is "don't get emotionally attached to a share". I confess that I am in this instannce. BUT at least I know it and I know just how volatile it is and how it's easy to get burned. So to the 100% people be very, very careful.

I've been in a while longer and so far SXX capacity to disappoint has never failed. I do expect financing to be in place but I expect it to come at a price to PIs

Thank you dickyboy1 I usually get slated by the usual suspects for stating the blindingly obvious. There is no such thing as a racing certainty. My motive is not to deramp - I have lots of shares, many held since 2011 - and only an idiot would suggest that that is what I am doing. There’s a fair number of those around.

......once again the price has dropped and once more conspiracies are suspected. Of course there are no conspiracies when the price rises. That’s something like a “long overdue rerating”. This is the wonderful world of Sirius. We are all in this to make money but none of us is privy to what is going on and opinions such as “it will go up this afternoon” are valueless. Why not simply set the speculation to one side and be patient as Cherokee suggests.

Perspective guys. The Govt has far bigger fish to fry than SXX. Like it or not.

I have more than enough SXX shares jonesrichard. The constant ramping up from some posters (often totally inane) too often goes unchallenged. No one wants this share to do well more than me. So how about listening to an alternative view for a change and realising that investing in shares is a risky business?

Not clear why the opening of the US market will impact anything to do with SXX

I’ve held Sirius shares for around eight years. In the old days it was a day trader’s dream. I don’t doubt that many made money (and many lost) doing little more than gambling on share price movements. People who chased the share price up to 50p and back down to 17p. We are now all waiting for good news and the killer RNS. But sadly there is a mass of ignorance. People attracted by the story who don’t know that the share left the AIM market months ago. People who don’t know what an RNS is and people predicting riches by Easter. Before you bet your house on this share be aware that it carries lost of risk. Yes it’s possible that we will be rich by Easter. But it’s equally and perhaps more likely that we will need to stump up more cash to avoid serious dilution in our holdings. Speculate if you must but be aware that the risk of loss remains significant. The RNS will come in good time.
