Well DGR1980 I hope your last sentence is correct. Personally I doubt it but, like I said, the emotional attachment is hard to sever so I am hanging in there as I have for the past seven or eight years. That's the only reason right now. There's enough of me that thinks it will do well to continue to take the risk. But investing IS risky and there are some on this board who don't seem to see that. As for percentages - it's not meaningless. Given that trading shares is risky (I hope no-one would refute that) it's about spread of risk. Whatever your age, if you had had all your eggs in the Debenhams or Carillion boxes then you certainly would be starting again now.
