There are some very large sales today. Rats and ships? I have no desire to abandon this one but if the SP drops, I fear there is more bad news not too far away.

Just thought I would throw this into the melting pot: NCC and ECK have a director in common! I have a bit of both (having started with Accumuli) Both in similar fields so how long before a bid? In the meantime Berenberg has put a buy on ECK to 40p. And if ECK has been misled about the recent buy in the States, I assume they will have recourse, if not withholding some share -based price if its not too late.

I've read your chat and I have topped up too! My first lot cost me nothing, the second 38p when they had not got any U.S earnings, so I'll take this gamble at 35.45p. Just hope the old adage doesn't come true here: 'Profit warnings come in threes!!!!

I see a shrewdness in this which smacks of the Chief. SKP gets a main board quote (though losing its name) it pushes Vectura into immediate profit which should double its SP in the fairly short term. Since Vectura is offering a multiple of its SP for every SKP share, it is highly likely those of us who take the shares will have the equivalent of £7-10 per SKP within a year. If the SKP price slips, theres a case for mopping up more.

Me again! Still agonising !! They say everything has its price but pricing POS with the oil majors frantically shutting deep water wells is exceedingly difficult, especially as I would be averaging down, which is not generally a good idea. I suppose at some point it would be worthwhile for a Shell or Mobil simply to swoop on the company and make the profit on their knowhow in future. Reckon I'll wait for another lurch and double up.

Have just cut and run in commodities and decided to park here. Looks a lot safer and noticed recently got the thumbs up for an extra indication for its top earning drug. It may take an age to make up my losses but I'll sleep nights with this!

New subsea (expensive) wellhead about to be exhibited AND GUESS WHAT? All the majors are pulling out of deep sea exploration because it doesn't pay with oil at this price!! I am thinking of topping up my holding because this is a classy company but wonder whether it is going anywhere with this product for a few years? Market doesn't seem to be busting a gut with the SP right now.

Market agrees these figures are encouraging, I'm overweight but need something like a bid to justify selling. The big bucks milestone payment will now not be received until 2016 and my guess is that a predator will pounce before that is due for payment, thus trousering the premium he will pay to take this out. SKP is well known to all the majors but GSK has to be a fair bet. Brokers have long put a price of £4.60 on SKP. That'll do nicely!!!

What can be deduced from SKP's recent price performance? Well, it did not collapse with the market and it has moved back only modestly. Conclusion: Those in the know cannot trade and the rest of us are not in a gambling mood, Let's just hope because this market is in a mood to punish these if they disappoint again!

Latest plans to revamp are on hold because one or more big holder didn't like them. Pundits seem to feel the new Board will be coining it under their deal while rest of us wait & hope. We may end up with the Directors profit share being moderated a bit but I am sure this is going to turn into a gambling chip based on spotting an oil situation or three. Not what most of us expected.

Apparently last year on 26th Aug. Performance lately dreary so need no shocks and real profit to set these on upward trajectory. Ominously quiet at present but its that type of stock. Here's hoping

This has become sleepy but the price has hardened a bit in August. My view is that those who made dosh are in the Bahamas. Needs a tipsheet article when the lads are back at their desks. After the rebuff a few weeks back, the directors are probably going to wait until next figures are out before they look for another add-on. If they are rebuffed again, heads might roll and ECK would then become a target.

Just noticed the spread today is 0.04% or 1p on a £26.50 middle. That speaks volumes about the shortage of stock around. I would be content to sell but it is so tempting to hang in for that little bit more!!

Recent announcements have not all been sweetness and light. See earlier contributors. The annual figures were expected to show profits but thanks to lots of provisions they showed a loss. There is nothing fundamentally wrong but these types of pharmas live by market perception of what is coming and right now the company hasn't much it wants to tell. It has been working for at least four years on some 'new oral drug delivery technology'. This will take years and if it delivers, it then has to be approved.

Bought these for the last payout which was fine. Now everythings on hold for another 12-18 months. I don't have much invested so its probably worth waiting because the asset value will be close to £1 next time and then I'll have even less to monitor. But are they worth buying at this level? Hum....

I bought wrong some months back but timing is devilishly difficult. This one's just back to cut-even but the divis are worth having in time to come, if you can bear holding the Euro. No-ones posted since November last so I thought I would kick the can a bit!!

When they go like this, it usually presages a strong upward jump.

May 8th indicates a decent director's buy. Everything pointing upwards at the moment, albeit a steady curve. Really pleased I picked up more on their recent wobble.

Sad isn't it that in all probability one over enthusiastic sales rep at Pacira can cause the SKP capital value to fall $60.000,000 when there is only a possibility that the likely (not certain) milestone of $8,000,000 might be missed this year. He probably offered the free night at the Las Vegas Hilton (plus extras) to the wrong Hospital marketing exec! If all else pans out OK I reckon it will take 6-12 months to reverse this, unless of course the bid materialises.
