This tail may wag the EPE Sp Opps dog because it retains 25% worth (at this SP) about £M65 when EPE's total value is hardly more AND they have a few other businesses they are bringing along. As you imagine, I am a holder of EPE and the price has fallen as these results get nearer! I think I'll wake up early on 3rd April !!

SP crawling back and the directors know the figures altho results not due til May, Website not exactly updated daily so you have to watch the price and dive in if it looks like its fallen too far. Likewise if there's a big buy or co buying back shares, Cannot see why these are weak.

Thanks for interesting discussion. I, like Cebo, am not in this one but hold Miton UK Microcaps who have a decent interest. I have not so far bought because cannot convince myself they will make meaningful profit from this activity in anything but the long term (if at all).

Rather timely seeing my message yesterday! Fairly churlish response by market but I think the results will be alright and the divi safe. Wouldn't be surprised if they are running the slide-rule over NCC. They share a director and might fancy a reverse in - on second thoughts they are probably better off on their own. Too many skellies in NCC! Glad I dived out on a hunch and just about washed my face. No spare coins at present otherwise might tuck a few more of these away. If they can avoid the snakes I can see them next year up the ladder at 70p.

Thought my front door collapsed this morning but it was only the AZ Annual Report coming through the letter box. Of course I have already given it the cover-to-cover (sure) Since I am on the Share Centre platform, its nice to get ARs. Now I can buttonhole my GP and get him to research the Type 2 Diabetes drug to see if its better for me! Out of all their research there has to be a decent chance of a blockbuster to prop up the share price and keep the nice divis coming.

It seems like VEC are out to amortise a large amount of the Skyepharma assets they bought. This is their second tilt and, of course, it ends up with them showing another fat paper loss for the year. I seem to recall that just before SKP were taken out, they declared a giant profit, so I don't know about you but I'm not feeling wildly happy. If this is VEC in good mode, my concern is where the price would be if they declare poor figures! Might just quit the battle tomorrow if the tipsters force up the SP overnight.

The newsflow from this co has dried up and when I see that I get uncomfortable. There is still quite a time before its annual results and its chart doesn't inspire confidence. Still an investor but wondering whether to cut and run? Anyone else feeling the collywobbles?

Big write up in weekend FT and they reckon could be good in time for other forms of cancer, Soriot is hoping for a few more big announcements in 2017. Can see £50 again soon and if even some of the others happen, nearer £60. So pleased I topped up for the divi two weeks back at £42. It was a no-brainer! The only question with this one is when does it become a 'Sell' but no worries for now.

Held SKP since the bad old days and topped up at the bottom and on way up. Did not expect the mediocre bid or this miserable delay. Think VEC may be at least a year from meaningful upward move. RNS don't seem to move this in the right direction.

This is most interesting. As long as the co keeps buying and narrowing the discount, its a gravy train. Of course, the bubble bursts if the market slides or one of its top invs throws a wobbly! Now the cap stock has gone, it is a simpler vehicle. Not much hope of getting in on the cheap though when a bad day brings the co back to buy more! And we don't know when the co decides that the discount is about right and they stop buying.

Bought on doom day but had to pay 147p for a small gamble. Tempting to sell towards the CGT- free limit because if I don't, you can bet your boots others will as the tax year ticks to its end! So it follows there might be the opp to buy back at a lower price. Don't normally trade like this but seems sensible.

Picked this up on doom day (with Aldermore!) as a cheap gamble. If they go weaker I will tuck a few more away, even though at my age I am mostly in pooled invs. Their prefab buildings factory will be an extra income stream turning on soon with much publicity. This price and this market looks a bit toppish but unless you a market hopper, just stick around.

AZN pays decent divis,, largely from non-sterling earnings, has an imaginative and brave boss in Soriot and could - just could - break new ground with its drugs in research stage. If you think of selling now, you shouldn't be in the stock anyway - your cash should be under your mattress!

Now checked their RNS and surprise, surprise! The company's own share award scheme has gone HEAVILY into this market to pick up shares at this price to hold until needed for awards. Beginning to think I should be doing this for a living !!!

This has gone quiet for a strangely long time. Suspect it has sunk below the radar of most tipsheets and financial journalists until it announces something interesting. I have enough but it is probably a sensible time to top up. After all I recall a recent statement that their American subsidiary will shortly be earning more than the UK parent AND it will be DOLLARS!!!

I told you a month ago. Price now is 280p to buy. Seems no-one watches this one except me! Now they are awash with cash and saleable assets, haven't a clue where they will spend it next but I'm delighted to hold.

Four directors each paid 270p each for shares we could have bought then for 242p. I am already in but I find that intriguing. Any suggestions?

There are two contrary 'silly' adages: 1) Profit warnings come is threes (i.e mugs buy in now! and 2) Always buy on a dip. So what is right. I happen to believe that there may be some fallout from Brexit in terms of not renewing Accumuli contracts and this will not be unique to NCC, which I believe is a decent co. But the safest option is to wait for Directors deals to appear. If they are large, we can take the confidence perhaps to follow suit if we need to top up. If there is no director buying, then it is a definite SELL signal. Why rush to catch what might be the proverbial falling sword. I also own Eckoh, Same sort of business - similar story!
