I am a newie and I am down on these too right now, but I believe the future is comfortable for NG and we will all get good divis for years to come. There are less shares since co is buying back and SP will bounce back a bit soon. Below £10 they are a steal and should be in all your grandchildren's Xmas stockings. Labour won't be able to afford to nationalise them - too many other priorities if (perish the thought) they get into power soon. Just been trying to understand the Annual Report!!

Just noticed Canaccord Genuity rated on 21/6 at 54p.

Got in at wrong time! Market weak and not helped by DS exercising option over 1M+ shares and ditching them last week. Will not be pushed out 'at the bottom' though. This apparently has a great future so I shall hang in and hope we have seen the worst. Seems 4X more bought than sold today so hope springs for now.

IC this week supportive but not a lot of price action. Another to tuck up for a while I fear. Still the divi is OK and if it makes money in USA maybe that is where the bid will come from in due course.

Positive support and not to expect 'fireworks' funnily enough often is a prelude to....... fireworks! I can think of more than one outfit that wouldn't mind bidding for this in the next 12 months. Polar holds 11% and they are shrewd.. Not yet sitting on profit but unworried. I'll take my divi and sit back.

Far more sells than buys but price up sharply today. Has the feel that there's good news to come pushing this SP and ensuring a safe divi. Must be gamblers wanting a fast buck by selling now.

Progress in the weeks since I bought. Off the beaten track but could be a star performer over the medium term. Not without risk but the managers clearly know their market.

Are you going to trust NG or not? I don't think this is a plot to make us all poorer. I am not keen on buy-backs but this is a decent outfit, The theory is that less shares on market means the assets and divis are cut less ways, meaning more left per share still on market. This is definitely one for widows and orphans and I have seen that from a number of so-called experts. In fact at 1034p and with NG buying, there is a reasonable case for saying the price is pinned and therefore cheap.

for the annual statement and hopefully one or two big guys trying to muscle in on these. Today more buyers than sellers but -7.5p. Probably over confident jobbers asking too wide a spread - no worries, Might even get a weekend write-up to persuade a few punters in on Monday before the report next day. Still feel we may have seen the last of a £3,XX. It won;t take much cos they are thinly traded.

Yes it is strange but it hasn't stopped the price. Schroders have done alright on their investment. Lets hope figures stack up next week. If the SP makes more headway that would hint that all is well.

Had to pay top of big spread! My hunch is the £20M deal is in the bag and announcement pending. Either that or I'm a mug!!! Anyway, I'm on this now.

Went into Whittards of Chelsea in Regent St St James the other week, one of theirs. Very classy shop. Spent plenty. Why not? This is making me plenty. Did you know that a good leaf tea can be reused many times and lose very little flavour? I have just had my fourth cup of their Rooibus Bluebury tea out of one home-prepared bag kept a week! Looked at that way the 'expensive' tea goes a long way and it is extremely good, P.S If anyone reads this, look at the current price! And it is at a 30%+ discount to asset value!

Bought these few weeks ago and more as soon as they went ex-cap. Now given thumbs up by IC magazine and price is moving up fine. Better than under the mattress. Biggest individual holding now, ahead of AZN. And soon I will be receiving my 84p a share back and a generous divi. What's not to like?

Results apparently 12 June. Hopefully there should be a price run up to nearer 60p. Anything much less will disappoint. Cannot expect figures to be too exciting because marginal loss at half year, but divi should be safe and well covered. If that is outcome and forward story still good, may hang on until next fin year since I have no wish to give HMRC more CGT!

I bought a few months ago and have seen a see-saw probably owing much to currency swings. Getting back to higher level now and depends somewhat on how China goes since much exported in that direction. The performance of EMs will have a significant bearing on VOF but again not, in my view, over much. Using this comparatively small holding to bring contrast to the portfolio. Do not hold much else by way of EM now. After Brexit, direct deal between this country and Vietnam could be quick and easy. I'm sure they would like some military stuff from us!

Took decision last week at 121 and bit bullet. Been in for 15 years and will have hell working out CGT next year but sold a load of other stuff and made safe(r) and saw no reason for VEC to wait. Good luck to all the brave.

Me again! I've just seen their Edison as at 2/5/17 (follow the old announcement) and its just as I thought. Results 6/6/17 and I will be glad to be in tomorrow. Should be saying goodbye to the 300s with luck by 7th June or so. Let's hope they have good news about the £M20 office block deal before then!

Watched these from afar for a couple of years and they have done nowt - under the radar, too small etc. Bev88 is right though. There have been quite a few sales this year reducing indebtedness and showing profit. My expectation is that asset value will come in about £1.00 over SP. Dividends are at a useful level too. The announcement coming soon might improve the co's profile if it's as good as trailed. AND The portfolio could appeal to Bassi at REI who might think about a bid in due course.So come Tue I will have tucked a few away.

Just realised retiring boss own millions and millions of shares! If he dribbles them into the market, this could keep the price low for some time. Hmm......
