...actually it was in no way sexist and I would have said new boy as that is a commonly used term for new members of staff. If referring to a male as a boy or a female as a girl is not allowed then I despair.
With today's news I think the company has the opportunity to line up a few high profile media interviews with the usual media allowing them to update holders on the launch and share plans for the New Year.
A free publicity opportunity and a chance to meet and hear the new girl!
I don’t think the soft launch has been as bad as some have suggested - at least they have products and have a selling platform live.
What many of the comments have highlighted is that the communication needs to improve. Clearly the reality of this launch was not what the majority expected. If this was the real plan then it should have been explicitly detailed prior to the launch. If the intention was to have more products going live then an explanation that supply chain issues or development delays or whatever affected it should have been communicated.
I would like to think that going forward this will be an area that the company recognise improvements are needed (ie plenty of updates on progress between now and February with no surprises at the last minute).
Sterow - here is a list of celebrity owned CBD businesses that may be an eye-opener for some. This appears to be US focussed but the main UK CBD business that springs to mind is FourFive (set up by George Kruis and Dom Day)
https://cbdoracle.com/news/business/celebrity-cbd-brands/
wolf - yes CBX do not manufacture - the raw product is being supplied by Willow Bioscience and Chanelle McCoy (Pureis) is manufacturing some of the ingestible products but I'm not sure we've been told who is manufacturing the cosmetics
OAPK20 I think there has been a lot to pumping going on over the past few months yes and I'm sure it will continue over the next few months. Most people here are used to it by now. That said I am not a great believer that what is posted here or on other boards has any great impact on the SP. If people are looking to invest or add to their existing investments they would be well advised to research as much as they can (away from chat rooms) and engage with the company. Nowadays most companies are very approachable and happy to engage.
I think we may have some stability for a few months and the fun will begin again in January
Like Jack I have been posting for many years and when I look at the number of posts I have made over the past 8 years it certainly isn't excessive. For the record I am invested here and have made my history clear in the past. I invested at IPO, sold out within a couple of days and bought back in at low 7s. I have a substantial holding but this represents less than 10% of my portfolio (which includes a number of investments in the CBD sector).
I accept responsibility for my part in dragging the board down today and for that I apologise.
I do share my thoughts which aren't always popular but I do try to bring a sense of realism to the board. I appreciate that people will disagree and that is what boards are for - to discuss alternative opinions in a civil manner. I tend to get frustrated with ramping (and de-ramping) when there is no substantiation. We all make our own investment decisions and I pride myself on doing research to a ridiculous level as at the end of the day it is my money and my future.
I will accept my responsibility to keep my posts civil and the discussion factual going forward.
Amran - why would I leave when it is so much fun living in your head?
If you want to keep hurling insults then accept the consequences and stop whining
sterow - no-one should be bullied into changing how or what they post.
Some people here don't like anything that doesn't fit their agendas but everyone is entitled to their own opinions and no opinion is right or wrong. No-one deserves to be shouted down and anyone that tries is a bully and insecure.
Carry on as you were - your input is as valid as anyone's
Amran - You obviously feel you are somehow king of this board and have a divine right to tell people who to filter and who they should or shouldn't listen to
If you bother to read the posts yesterday you will notice that the board was civil and had some very good discussions without you.
A number of posters even questioned your credibility and commented about your ridiculous ramping so maybe your crown is slipping bit.
@R1bo - you are getting really boring!
Please put me back on filter
You are the one that persists with talking about Chill - look at how many times you mention them.
I will post here as and when I wish and if that means I live in your head then so be it. You seem to have become very tetchy and have resorted to insulting many posters here so maybe you should take a break from the board for your own good
@R1bo - you usually start your posts by saying that you aren't interested in me or that you have blocked me so I don't get why you feel the need to react every time I post.
Your obsession with me is unhealthy
Please give it a rest and post something that is of interest to more than you and your alter ego
I think it's understandable that the majority of investors are disappointed when the SP has dropped substantially for the past 3 days following the news that everyone was told would send it to the moon.
The company now has a website with products available and £9M in the bank which is a plus. The £3M loss is pretty much to be expected for a start up company bringing products to market from scratch.
Revenue is being generated and while I do not expect to see the company trading profitably for 12-18 months it is a start.
With the SP in the 7s it's hard to think it will drop much more and the downside is certainly limited. With positive news between now and February the SP should start to move upwards but as the main launch date nears expect a number of investors to take the opportunity to take profits depending where the SP moves to.
The company should have treated the last few days as a wake-up call as I'm sure they were expecting a more positive reception. Hopefully they will put things right and ensure that between now and February everything is done to ensure a better received main product launch.
The USP (although it isn't unique) is that it is laboratory made and that appears as the very first thing you see when you open the website.
I would like to see them promoting CBG more as that is a differentiator to most products currently on shelves and the jury is out whether lab made will attract more customers to the cosmetics ranges over natural
DQ - I believe the majority of the big investors were contractually tied in for a minimum of 12 months. I think DB fell into that category although there were some from memory that were only tied i for 6 months.
@R1bo - I have never said to anyone "I told you so" nor taken any pleasure when the SP falls. I am invested and whether you believe that or not does not bother me one iota.
I don't tend to post on many boards and usually avoid them when there is a big rise without any reason - it happens and it's rare that there isn't a pull-back afterwards. What I do try and offer is a voice of reason as the people here that are hurting include many that have been caught buying in after you and your sidekick go off on a ramping spree. Again I'll say it but you NEVER offer anything of substance to back up your ridiculous claims.
Nowhere have I claimed the story is over - you do come out with some rubbish. I have said many times that this is a long-term hold and end 2022 early 23 is when the company may start to see some profit. Until that point in my opinion the 50p's etc that you throw around are unlikely.
I hope you have said enough as I am happy to listen to people that have genuine opinions rather than reading your long tomes that say nothing
It's clear that the launch hasn't been received how the company would have liked.
Some here have suggested that the company may have felt under pressure to launch something having missed their original September deadline. I'm not sure that is the case but it's not really the launch most were hoping for and the market didn't like it either. The SP had risen with the expectation much like the excitement in the lead up to a spud in oil exploration. In hindsight maybe a pull-back was inevitable although the size of this was probably more than anyone expected.
I don't actually see too much wrong with the process of a partial launch but maybe the expectations were that more and higher profile products would form part of the launch. Maybe this could have been communicated better from the company.
I am not a fan of using primary communication via social media - it certainly has a place but the comments about 11/10 marketing have been partly responsible for much of the poor reception. Maybe a lesson learned going forward. There are investor presentations and interviews amongst other solutions that may be better.
Going forward I would like to think the company would read some of the various chat rooms to get a feel for the public mood and will be big enough to address some of the issues.
The company name has been raised a few times today - I agree that it needs reviewing. It has been mentioned a couple of times today that Cellular Goods sound like a telecoms company and that there is nothing to link it to the CBD sector. Alexis seems to be convinced the name works but by the time the product is on shelves it will be too late to review it.
The company has 3 months to assess the reception of the initial products and make sure they get it right for the main launch. To get it wrong a second time could be incredibly damaging.
The company need to do some work to get back some confidence and faith - you can guarantee questions will be coming in from the major shareholders as to what has happened here.
As I said earlier in the week it's one to put away and leave for a while and leave it to the traders until things calm down a bit.
@R1bo - Read what I wrote and compare it to what others have said today - the consensus is that the company could have done better. Investors here are not a happy bunch.
Rather than turn everything into a battle understand that posters here all have differing opinions on how the company are doing. You are not the oracle and offer very little of substance other than acting like the board bully shouting people down and throwing out insults. Your opinion (as mine) is one amongst many. Sadly your posts are either personal, childish or ramping without any substance and offer nothing of value. You may not like what I post but I am offering an opinion (with substantiation) and if you think my opinion is wrong throw out something to counter it rather than stomping your feet and calling names hoping someone will come to your aid.
So you don't like me - great! I won't be losing any sleep
I will post what I want and when I want whether the SP has gone up or gone down and whatever insults you want to throw out won't change that.
@Amran - your tone has changed a bit today
What happened to all the ramping earlier in the week?
"Cbx will deliver. This is now the pivotal stage for the company and Alexis knows exactly what he is doing"
"Can someone get the rocket out for tomorrow!!"
"Expecting a positive response in the SP and further articles in the news"
"R1 I think we will break this 11p level tomorrow"
" Alexis told me about it back then also. I am grateful to have an open channel with him."
Maybe Alexa wasn't telling you everything
You have a tendency to shout down anyone posting what you perceive as a negative/realistic comment but today many here have posted very valid concerns and maybe it's time you listened for once
I expect you to try and turn it personal but I'm not interested in a battle as it will detract from many of the great posts today
FX - I think the pricing for the skin care and cosmetics range is fine and is in line with the competition for where these products are targetting. Cosmetics are not "commodity goods" as such as there is much more to them than just the CBD/G content. The oils however are simply a way of administering a specific dose of CBD orally and on that basis I feel that a price point at 10x what is already available on High Street stores and online is going to constrain. I would rather see them get the price competitive (and that doesn't mean the cheapest in the market) than have to reduce prices in a few months as that sends out the wrong signals. The ingestible oils are literally all about getting CBD into the bloodstream and no more (although there are a number of different flavours available in the market). I find it unlikely that customers that use CBD oils (and I am one) will go out and pay 10x more for one with cool packaging that offers nothing more than the product they are using.
If someone can give me an explanation of why they feel the price point of the oils makes sense I would love to hear it.
