George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
I have no issue in waiting another two weeks but what LB hasn't made clear is how this affects our next drill.
If the Helium was there when we invested it is still there so nothing has fundamentally changed
Good luck to all those genuine holders
Once again as the drill nears TD the board has been swamped by comments from people panicking and worrying because of the daily SP movement.
Nothing has changed from weeks ago.
We knew then that the spud would happen in the 2nd half of September (which it did).
We were told the drill would take approx 2 weeks to reach TD (which should be early next week).
If you invested because you believe in the extensive geological studies then nothing has changed - if the Helium was there a month ago it is still there.
If you invested to make a quick buck expecting a sharp SP rise on spud then you lost - welcome to AIM.
If you invested in the fundamentals the bets are still on the table and the wheel is spinning.
Good luck too the genuine holders and don't waste your life away watching the SP every 5 minutes - what is important is the next RNS.
Go and watch the previously linked Noble presentation
The take-aways are that they "know" they will find the Helium it's about what the concentration levels are.
They have a new board member who will be the man for monetising the assets and dealing with the take-off agreements.
They are clearly very confident and know far more about the geology and prospects than any of the armchair experts on this board!
"Worryingly last time around at the exact same location the drill team were aware of the poor hole conditions from as early as 70 metres"
Again if you stick to the facts and do a modicum of research you will know that this drill is NOT the exact same location.
the he1 board has become a playground and a complete waste of time.
anything of value is lost is a sea of ****e.
i think coco was only ever in it for a quick buck and expecting the price to fly up to drilling and is now venting his anger because he is over-extended.
cyber is just childish and has nothing of value to add - he comes across as desperate and like coco probably thinks investing is a guaranteed get rich quick thing.
legal is playing a game as he knows he winds certain people up but he usually raises good points.
there is too much emotion involved there now and it will only get worse once the drill is turning as the question will be when to re-risk for those that aren't prepared to see it through to the results.
there will also be a massive influx of new posters with a variety of different agendas.
This board has become a shambles and is now a place for certain posters to spend hours of their lives pursuing personal squabbles.
I used to enjoy catching up on posts but this morning it has been post after post of childish bickering with virtually nothing of value (if there has been then I apologise as it has been drowned out).
The majority of people here hold shares in the company and we all have differing strategies. Some have made it clear that they are trading and good luck to them. Some are invested for the long-haul and good luck to them. We all want to make a return on the money we have invested.
Assuming everyone here is an adult then there really is no reason that we can't just get on with our lives and our strategies without jumping on a anyone that has a different opinion or strategy. Do those that post incessant argumentative posts behave that way in the real world? I hope not!
The drill is happening and we will all know within a month whether we have the Helium we are looking for so let's all take a deep breath and accept that we are on a discussion board which by nature of what it is will mean acceptance of opinions that are different.
Let's try and bring a bit of self-respect and dignity back
@No1plastere - what do you base your statement of doing the testing next year on? The company have never stated that.
This is one reason not to believe everything you read on these boards as the facts are usually obscured by the rubbish posted here.
If and when the company state testing will be next year then maybe you can worry about it then.
I am sure we will be updated on plans after Itumbula once results of Tai-C are known.
The past few days have been inundated with posts from nervous Nellies and posters that change their standpoints daily.
I'm not sure why the excitement about today's RNS - it doesn't change anything and the options do not affect us today.
Those people that turned on DM months ago have also now turned on LB and the board.
The company is about to spud (if it hasn't already commenced) and if the Helium was there when you invested it is still there now. Everything going on at the moment is background noise and if the drills are successful these same Nellies will be gloating and back-slapping everyone before taking their profits and exiting stage right..
Those that have held for years are the ones that are relaxed here - those that are either exposed or just expecting a quick buck on rise to spud are the ones panicking.
For the real investors this isn't about PR to boost the SP to appease those traders who want to make a quick buck it's about discovering and monetising a world class Helium resource that will reward those with patience.
I am confident that good things come to those who wait
@stinoo - If you can be bothered to check the most recent RNS's you will see the number of shares and options that the BOD currently hold. Why would the board now buy shares when their options are at a lower price than the current SP?
For someone that's been here since June this year I would be more intrigued why you claim to be invested here when you have previously stated the following:-
"I start to doubt about a 2023 drill.."
"I fear that this project will fail."
"Does this company even exist? I'm not sure anymore."
Methinks you have an agenda here and my BS detector is ringing loud. Anyone posting the comments you have since June and also claim to have a decent investment here would be certifiable!
@marktslc - what you have overlooked is the probability that a major will buy us out in the event of commercial discoveries. There are plenty sitting on the sidelines waiting with chequebooks and in the event that we (along with Noble) are successful we won't be the ones bringing this resource to market. If/when this happens trust me the company won't be sold for less than £1.
Things could move a lot quicker than many people here think.
@coco - LB made it crystal clear that the drill will be moving to Itumbula upon completion at Tai-C. Appraisals will be carried out in due course subject to drilling results. Posting something positive that is not based on fact is of benefit to no-one here. You were very outspoken and shouted anyone down that raised the issue of a placing weeks ago and look how that went.
Let's just stick to facts until we are told anything different.
Skippy - I am not disputing that the BOD should be granted options - I don't think anyone has said that. Many companies offer share incentives which are partly to ensure the workforce is aligned to ensuring the company make money. Share options for the BOD are also commonplace yes but I don't recall ever seeing an annual option for 3 years being offered at a slight discount to current SP. I imagine your business is not involved in a binary play project - that makes this options agreement very different to the type you are used to.
I think you are missing the point - had the company offered the options at 6.6p contingent on the SP meeting certain target that would have been palatable and probably had a positive impact on the current SP. The fact that they are available at 6.6p for the next 3 years does not express a great deal of confidence in the company.
The placings will land shortly and the company will probably announce spud next week. Sadly I feel that impetus has been lost with the RNS timings and the SP will barely move upon news until the results are announced.
The company has not been in a closed period and any of the directors could have bought shares in the open market - the fact that they didn't explains this RNS quite clearly.
@skippy
The BOD don't have skin in the game - I hold more shares than the lot of them combined!
I don't think anyone is begrudging them the right to options but those options should be incentive driven and not a heads I win and tails I don't lose scenario.
In the event that the two wells are proven commercial they will do very well for the next 3 years. If the drills fail then they have lost nothing as they won't take up their options.
Had they even put a contingency in the RNS that the options could only be taken if the SP was at 25p or 50p that would have been acceptable as that demonstrates a) some positive expectation of where the SP could move to upon success and b) an incentive to drive shareholder value as well as their own.
I see that as ample reward
@persian - it looks like it will drop below 6p today - hopefully those that subscribed to the recent placing will be on the phone to the company this morning!
Poor RNS and options at 6.6p in 2 and 3 years time sends out a lack of confidence to the market.
It may have been more palatable had they agreed to have the 3 equal tranches available at purchase prices of 10p, 25p and 50p over the next three years.
Not only is that realistic in the event of a successful drilling campaign but also sends a more positive message to the market.
In reality if the next two drills are successful we may not be around in the current form in 18 months anyway but offering share options at 6.6p in 3 years time does not sit well with me.
@Turbot - I think it is unfair to lay the blame at DM's door for the previous drill failure. We are blessed today as we have so many drill experts on this BB! They are all telling us all that we now have the correct drill. Where were they in 2021? Mitchell thought the previous drill was up to the job, our experienced drill manager thought it was up to the job and the BOD thought it was up to the job. On another day who's to say that it wouldn't have drilled successfully to TD? If something unexpected happens during this drill will everyone suddenly turn on LB and say the drill wasn't up to the job? These things happen in the world of drilling exploration and hopefully this drill will perform as expected and we will be able to announce a commercial discovery. The fact that there are so many variables is why investing in exploration companies carries the risk (and rewards) that it does.
....and to answer cyber's question about why people invested here I invested because of DM.
