RE: Groundhog day nice 4p rise only for it to disappear15 Feb 2020 09:27
People are obsessed with day to day movements. This companys share price fluctations are reassuring - does go up much; doesnt go down much. Pays a great dividend. Great stock
Owls - read in the FT that IC is largely negative on Ocado. Surprised this is even above £2.... this company spends years making a loss and according to FT is expected to make a loss of £750 million next year. Honestly - this company is on the road to profitless growth - too capital intensive for glorified food picking robots.....
Dinoken - Final dividend is 8 pence. Total dividend = 22 pence... 11% return. People are just fickle and greedy. That's what I have learnt this last two years. As soon as they get fantastic results, they turn their nose up at them. This should be £3.00+, but we have a serious legion of moaning minnies!
I just ignore the market because they are wrong... I've invested heavily in bank shares.. . profits were very healthy across the board. Barclays did exceptionally well. I wont be too worried about the insanity of the reaction.
seems to have coped well with near zero interest rates for 10 years.. . profits double and interest rates held steady at 0.75%. Dont see interest rates going down given the massive spending plans of government. RBS is a buy
No one seems to have read the results. Can someone please explain where they found lower guidance. Some items will be better; some worse, but overall, it looks as though 2020 will be better....
No PPI payouts going forward... brilliant! I am laughing that this is actually down... am I looking at my screen the right way. They have paid out 22 pence and people are selling their shares....
Actually the results for the banking sector in the UK are exceptionally good given the terrible backdrop. Imagine what they'll be like if the economy actually picks up....
The dividend is entirely covered within the profits made. I can't understand the reaction of the market. Most companies go up when profits go up 2-3%... this one has gone up over 100% and the share price drops. Every company I own shares in whether they announce a profit or loss, have gone down after results day... what is wrong with shareholders?
Extremely surprised this is down. Profits have gone up over 100%.... over 100%??????????????????????????????????????????????Perplexed this is down. To be honest, was expecting 5-10% rise in the share price. Putting my last £15k in here. Dividend 10%!
You have invested in a load of hot air. This company has been loss making for some time and will be in the continuing future. People need to take off the rose tinted spectacles. The licensing income is piddly! Mr Steiner will be off soon now that he has bagged £56 million in shares - watch the share price over the coming month.... This really is an example of a company sold on hopes. NAV less than £1. Realistic share price is c. £1.00 - £2.00 - if one is lucky!
